My cats always wanted rubs and loving when I was cooking. I was never so naïve to think that was about me.

Haha! I think it usually does mean "maybe she'll feed me" and it just coincides with whenever it's most annoying for me. But I'm not totally convinced that she doesn't do things just to annoy me. ;)

Kitty Diva was startled from her nap when I switched from listening to Aretha Franklin to bastille. She suspiciously peered around the room, like an invader had slipped in and was hiding under the furniture. I don't think she likes bastille.

Tiny Dog is especially needy today. She keeps coming back for more petting.

Right now they are both asleep (to a reduced-volume bastille), Kitty Diva on my left and Tiny Dog on my right.

Both the fur kids got got a clipping today,Little bit just got her face clip so she can see past the crazy hair she gets.Rowdy got an all over clip. I don't let her hair get so long but we have had so real cold weather so I waited till we had a warm up and it's been in the 50's or more and will be for a week or so...take the clipping days when I can in the winter.

clean puppies!

I went upstairs for a shower a bit ago. My usual bathroom buddy followed me in. Winnie has to give me "potty hugs." It's our thing every morning and every evening when I come home from work. Then on the weekends whenever she pleases. We did the hugs, then I got into the shower. She usually likes to peek her head in the curtain and watch the water swirl. Today, she decided to wander in but before she could her brother jumped past her! So he got the first shower. We've had melty snow so they have dirty paws and wanted to be clean. One by one they got showers then a cookie. It made me feel special because they have never showered with me, only star.

My pup showed me what a beautiful soul he has, I was taking care of a friend's dog today....we usually walk together and she had to work today. Well Dax and I went to go and get T-bear, we were in the hallway and I guess T-bear was not in a good mood today, he pinned Dax against the wall and was trying to bite him. I did what anyone would do and pulled them apart and told T-bear I would come back for him. I walked Dax separately, in the interim my friend's roommate returned and I told her what happened so she said she would walk the pup. As we were outside they showed up and Dax wagged his tail and walked up to T-bear to say hello....this after his friend just literally went for his neck. If only humans could be so forgiving, Dax realizes T-bear is having a bad day, maybe missing his Mom and chooses to remember all the other good times they have had. I'm very proud of my little man and he certainly got an extra treat today.

My sister brought her dogs over today. We hung out for a few hours with all six dogs (she has 4). My puppy was all over her puppy (they are a month apart) he was obsessed over her though even tho she like 55 pounds lighter then him. Lol

When they left he whined and kept looking outside the window and around the house for them. I think it was 30 mins before he calmed down.

my daughters chahuahua (who lives with me) had a reaction to flea medication and got very sick....she needed a steroid shot, fluids and eye drops...ugh...can i just have one day where no one gets sick, nothing breaks and no one needs money? :|

Well his sister swung her butt around and slammed him into the door of the kennel, busting his lip. He jumped her and had her down by the throat by the time I turned around. LOL course she was laying there giving up. She out weighs him by 20 pounds. She didn't mean to hurt him. He was bleeding bad thought. He's like me he's a lover not a fighter, but don't make him mad.

Jacques practically launched himself into my arms when I got home today!! A long day at work, and the roomie at work also, made for too much alone time for my boy...

my dog slept, ate ( twice), pooped (twice), peed (4 times), did no tricks,

Within the hour that I have been home, the pets have been rather entertaining. I walked the pup and he did his business, but he had apparently eaten a piece of hair. What ensued was him becoming scared and running in circles trying to get the “dangly” that was following him. It was a rather tetherball-esque scene.

Then the pup snubbed his food which is normal until he gives up whining and realizes he is not going to get a boiled egg. The kitty ate his food and then decided he would try to eat the dog food, too. Now the pup is whining and the cat is banging the cabinet door in the bathroom.

They better be glad they are cute and soft.

Jacques met the neighbor's new hound dog :)

He was polite but didn't want to play. I think his time at the dog park is paying off!

AnAwkwardAccident 02-08-2015 10:02 PM

We were feeding our rescue dog soft food. Today, we switched our rescue dog's reaction to eating hard food -- he took a bite of it and spit it out, and looked at us all hurt.

Our first pup is laying on the couch curled up at my feed fast asleep...I keep peeking down at her from over my computer and seeing her there puts the biggest grin on my face. She's my baby, and she just..'gets' me.

Cailin 02-08-2015 10:46 PM

Other than Drax ( we call her the black one... cause.. she's the only black one) climbing into the shower with me and then licking the water off the tub when I got out, nothing. And that's a GOOD thing :)

Kitty Diva had fun with catnip today. This basically means she played with her catnip mouse for about half a minute, and then rolled around in a pile of catnip I had put on the floor. Then she laid on her back and stared at the ceiling all starry-eyed. She has now moved to my bed for serious napping, where she has incidentally strewn dried catnip all around, and which I will be trying to brush off the sheets for half the night.

Tiny Dog met a new neighbor, and gave him a very small warning growl. She followed this with silent permission to pass our yard safely, although under close observation. (The neighbor wisely kept a respectful distance.)

My dog woke me up out of a semi coma so he could go out. I got home after 5 and fell asleep by 730....all that time he didn't go out so he was justified waking me at 1130.....just wish I could get back to sleep now...

Bard 02-19-2015 11:37 PM

Piper the youngest kitty likes to try and sneak out when I let the dogs in and today she shot down stairs and in to the basement.. I already had the door closed that leads outside so I did not worry but the stubborn kitty did not come up for two hours and even then I had to bribe her with treats ugg hella stubborn baby :moonstars::moonstars:

My kitten, Lola, is going to visit with us on weekends. My roomie isn't exactly a cat person but said weekends would be good...

Sooo

Lola, Jacques and I were all sleepy and cuddling this morning. Lola suddenly just reached and whacked Jacques' nose! He loves her so much..he did absolutely nothing lol

I had wondered where Lola would sleep once she didnt fit in my neck anymore....well...she sleeps with her head buried in my neck...with the rest of her off to the side or on my chest....aww :)

We are working on Sadie's 4th Trick Dog title. So today we worked on playing ring toss and basketball. She has basketball down pat...ring toss is not her forte, but I have faith she will nail it. :)
