Seems one pair just won't cut it when it comes to my eyeglasses these days! I went in my my second appointment today to see about getting the script on my new glasses adjusted so I can actually see out of them, and ended up having to purchase a second pair.
As was suggested by a couple of kind BFP folks it worked out that it is better for me to get two different pair of glasses. One pair will be the computer lenses with a lower reading area like I've worn for the last couple of years which I will wear when reading, doing stuff around the house and when using the computer. The 2nd pair with polycarbonate (safer because I am already legally blind in one eye), transitional lenses for driving, mowing the lawn etc. with a slight distance correction and a smaller reading field. I do not feel I need them for mowing or driving, but she wants me to wear them more for protection for my good eye. She, (the Dr.) told me about a patient she had a few years ago who was legally blind in one eye. He was out in his yard and his neighbor was mowing. The blade hit a rock just right and sent it flying straight into the good eye of his patient blinding him permanently. So I guess I will do as she suggested and wear them. So now you all know all about my eyeballs! Lol! :sigh: I feel much better! ;) |

It felt like my money was literally dripping from my pockets today. I paid all of my monthly household bills, except for truck insurance and Hulu which are on auto pay. I also put in my meat order for the month, and bought $100 in other groceries e.g. veggies, salad stuff, 1.5 lbs of fresh catfish fillets, 1lb. of grassfed ground beef (on sale for $6.27), cheese, fruits, 2 boxes of ziplocs, and a 12 pk. of Scott tissue.
Oh also 3 bottles of Kombucha, which is much too expensive to buy, but I love what it does for me and I'm hooked on it. Fingers crossed...this should be the last I have to buy because my gallon will be ready soon. |
