Well, it is 4:15 am... I have tossed and turned all night, so I thought I'd try just starting the day. No joy yet....

Breathing is bringing me joy today. Watching the birds jockey for position at the feeder. There's one black-capped chickadee who is having a time of it with the larger song and English sparrows.
Joy comes in small things. I let it pile up until there's no room for anything else in my hula hoop. |
A certain cat laying on the bed beside Me, snoring away ~ its the cutest thing *EVER* :D

What brought me joy...
Spending a peaceful weekend at the lake with my honey. Just the two of us sleeping late, soaking up the sunshine, playing in the water, and uncontrollable laughter that's just us. Having a lazy afternoon yesterday watching football, cooking a big ol' pot of chili, and enjoying the cooler temps with the doors & windows wide open. 10 days till the Reunion! |
Being able to get caught up on some yard work and not get dried up like a raisin in the sun. Making homemade whole wheat bread for the first time since last winter. Nothing brings me more joy that fall in the air. :cheer:

getting a call from two old friends, who were on way back North on their motorcycles after game in Jax, FL yesterday...inviting me to brunch! Spent two hours, laughing, remininscing of our multiple bike trips together prior to my debilitating accident in 2006..and NO, I do NOT ride now. One accident learned my lesson! Cages (cars) are NO match for one on a bike! They are an awesome couple and people! Love them dearly! Ride safe, my buds..see you again soon!

Seeing my all time favorite music group, Duran Duran, live in concert for the third time this year. They were fabulous! I bet I burned off 200 calories dancing and singing!

If you know me, you know I can come off as rather serious. Today what I really enjoyed was playing with some Tweens. The principle we were talking about was things are not always as they seem, as they might appear.
We did an experiment with corn starch and water. I got my hands into this corn starch, water and water colors. I realized how good it felt to swish my hands about in all of this goop and listen to the kids talk about their take on things and watch them interact with one another. I actually had fun and the kids, they are so much more ahead of some of us "grown ups" with insight. |
selling my chevy for $$5000.00...that's $$800.00 more than the loan payoff!! it's HAPPY DANCE time!! and the best part is...I will never need to see or drive that POC again!! Now I can pay off some bills with that extra cash.
