Whenever a school shooting occurs (which is disturbingly frequent), I'm reminded of the Boomtown Rats' song "I Don't Like Mondays", the first number one hit about a school shooting. Bob Geldof has said that he didn't write the song to make light of the tragedy...that it was an attempt to write "the perfect senseless song to illustrate the perfect senseless act." Bad 80s clothing and posturing aside, I'm posting it today with the same intent.
