I never got the memo that at a specific age you quit expressing yourself the way you choose to. I actually got a reminder that my Hot Cash can be redeemed starting Wednesday.

I'm 42 and I still shop there. Though now it's twice as costly since my teenager is shopping there with me. I got the call about the hot cash too- not that I remember where I put it. Can they pull it up by phone number? I *love* that they called to remind. I get so annoyed when I find "cash" from other stores with mystical dates that have passed.

Buying the BS.

I can no longer wear metallic eye shadow because I don't like the way it accentuates my crow's feet.

Happily, if this is the only thing I can think of that I'm "too old" for, I must be doing pretty good.

Unhappily, I've been thinking about this for about a week, so clearly it bothers me, probably more than it should.

Having to explain, Rocky Horror Picture Show.

To my boss? "I don't like scary movies"

Ok, your not that much younger. Must be a west coast vs east coast phenomenon...lol

No, we have Rocky Horror Show here...Let's Do the Time Warp...

Speaking in slang or colloquialisms (sp)...

The blank stares I'm awarded beg explanation and I'm reminded that although it's still basically English, it's not "their" English.

Smh...My bad...

I used to go to the mid-night shows from the age of 18 on...we could smoke in the theatre, throw toilet paper and rice, squirt water, sing and dance all night.

Fun times!

My daughter is going to her first Rocky Horror on Thursday. If I can free up my evening I'm going. I'm not too old. I repeat. I am not too old.

Nah...it ain't a thang. If you wanna wear metallic eye shadow, i think you're old enough to wear a little makeup (lol...reference to my teen years).

Crow's feet are merely maps for young'ens to follow. Ya think folks remember maps?

See it as the blank stare of ignorance on their faces.
It ain't on you. It's all them!

I agree with you, deeds.

Nothing really......

Time and experiences change me. My likes/dislikes as well as what I am willing to put up with or not put up with....or do and not do.

But I don't feel "too old" for anything.

I feel too old to sleep on the floor/ground. I can get down but I may not be able to get back up.

I'm 55 and can still pass for someone in their thirties and can get away with shorter dresses...although I don't shop at Hot Topic. Lulu's (online) has some really nice outfits.

Honestly, I don't feel that I am too old for anything...
