Joking around with my colleagues today about an asinine news story we saw. Apparently a high-ranking military official wants to separate queers from straights in living quarters. Can you say "Brar Rabbit?"
I can just see all the queers lining up going, "Nooooooooooooooo, don't put me in the bunks with all the cute gay boys. Nooooo, anything but that." We wanted to headline it "Separate but fabulous." The dude was an idiot... but our conversation about it made my day. |

I'm having some really good conversations with folks today! Every single person I've spoken with has been spirited and cheerful and positive, even the poor guy lost between here and Tacoma. :blink:
According to an aol article I read...as the club of Aces, I am ambitious, driven, sometimes seen as self-centered, and would do well in careers involving teaching or writing. Maybe this Destiny Card thing has something to it. :thinking: The day has been beautiful, even if I do have to work inside for half of it. I have an idea for Medusa's anthology!!!!! This has had me concerned for a few days, so even if it's just the germ of an idea, it's a step in the right direction and that makes me happy! |

I was getting my glasses fixed, and walked out in the mall. Little did I know that I was about to be totally blown away by what I saw...some just adorable, sweet, lovebugs needing homes...sugar gliders! There was a rescue group in the mall trying to sell them. I could have scooped them all up and taken them all home. Of couse I had to sit and hold each one. We all had nice talks too. Trying to keep up with my 11 yr old niece, who I recently just met and absolutely adore, and her um-teen million emails with her sweet shorthand and "I love you's"...
This one really made me chuckle... "i miss you to and i will give them a hug and say its from you i told sis u said good luck and she to tell you thank you we miss u alot and my mamaw said hi shes here for the week and my mamaw is my moms mom she came to the funreail. how is it going right now were on spring break and 2 ddays ago we had a cupple of girls stay the night for a sleep over always fun fun well going to eat some breakfast talk to you later! I <3 you" I have 11 years to make up for...and will LOVE and CHERISH every minute of it!! Only one thing missing tonight.... big hugs from both my girls!! My two peas in a pod... LOL the youngest I called my "froggy in a bag" when she wrapped herself up in a froggy bath robe. Ohhhh my girls bring me such joy!! |

What brought me joy today...
A relaxing weekend at the lake, where the sunset sky was the color of cotton candy. Bronzed, sunkissed skin. Passing an open field of wildflowers and the smell of fresh cut grass on my way to work this morning. The man bought me two pretty hanging baskets for in front of my office ~ filled with pink & purple petunias. Spending my lunch break outside, just soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the early spring day. |

My angel, text me to tell me she is pregnant. She's made me so proud, LOL not because she's pregnant but because she broke the cycle. She graduated high school, worked and went to college, will graduate in June, got married 2 yrs ago and is now going to be a Mommy. My Mom and her Mom didn't take that route and we had hoped she would break the cycle.

A day off, laundry in the dryer, crafts also drying, being caught up on the DVR, Family Guy, fresh oil in my car, a good hard workout under my belt, and I still have a few hours to do more STUFF before I crash. I need to hit the sack early tonight so I'll be fresh for my Zumba class tomorrow morning. Woot!
