1hr on spin bike...slow...easy...NOT during Spin class, G-d forbid.

Don't like the exercise bicycles...you know the kind with the seat w/back.

I enjoy the touring bike style...they work other leg, glute, ankle muscles
and achilles tendon that running doesn't use as much...so
on went my music and I imagined riding on a road...smiling.
Really paid attention to those other muscles, ouch!

Tomorrow 5mi walk with my straight talkie friend...it's been awhile...
will be good to see and hear her for a bit.

Long run? 10mi Monday early morning.

yesterday...... I jogged. Then walked. Then jogged. Then walked. Then jogged some more. Didn’t keep up with how far but I was sweating to all hell by the end so I think it was good. Ha.

Today I did some resistance training and push ups.

So, ALL long runs will be done on Sat or Sunday, no more Mondays.
It was a beautiful 1.15hr 10mi run but then had a full day of clients...So what
was wrong with that, you may ask? I was still on the trail and
gorgeous run mentally that's what.

Lesson learned. Still, it was a beautiful run.

I had a good very needed 20 mile bike ride after work. I got a new gadget for my bike to hold my phone - for two purposes. I'm on call for work so I need to be able to answer fast. But also, I can play my music. I put on some good acoustic Jerry Garcia for my ride and it was the best medicine.

Then I came home and mowed my lawn and tended gardens until it was too dark out to see.

Gemme 05-06-2019 08:06 PM

I prepped and painted for 4 hours today.

candy_coated_bitch 05-06-2019 11:58 PM

I had a nice spring walk around downtown.

easygoingfemme 05-07-2019 06:32 AM

7k row, rather than my usual 5k. At 6am. With the windows in the house open, wind blowing, blasting Queen. Sorry, neighbors. But it's my birthday and I'm doing what I want. Mostly.

Long easy 10mi early this morning
decided to run on gorgeous trail and
it never disappoints...though running
in the rain is not my cup of tea, it was
doable and beautiful...at times this place
takes my breath away...really.

So, music and paint for the rest of this day.

I walked. A lot. My vehicle at work is broken so we've been hoofing it waaay more than usual. I lifted stuff. Some of it heavy. I don't think I sat down for more than 20 minutes at a time outside of my half hour for lunch. My feet were super swollen by the end of the day. Boo!

candy_coated_bitch 05-11-2019 09:59 PM

Lugging groceries up three flight gets of stairs. I need to do better.

Lugging groceries up three flights of stairs is a pretty big chore, if you ask me. I can barely carry one bag, let alone three. I usually have to go one bag at a time, which carries over into going up and down the stairs multiple times.

That's an excellent work-out, in my mind.

Three cheers for you, CCB. (f)

easygoingfemme 05-12-2019 04:17 PM

5k row today. I'm antsy and need something more. I'd usually walk my dog now but it's pouring out. Guess I'll keep cleaning house.

Grueling 2mi hill work out...a groupie said to me
"You will get to love the hills, eventually." Really?!

I will love them when running up the slopes on the
bridges. When getting to the Central Park hills, that
are gradual but rough nonetheless. THEN, I'll love
these hills, but for now damn they're tough.

Think I'm whining...so...tomorrow Easy 6mi in early
am before office.

After my last post I began to think about the time
when it took all I had to run for 3mins...when I thought
I couldn't possibly run 1mi...I was very heavy at that time.
..kept at it...alone at the park at 5:30am...I just ran and walked,
ran and walked...I am saying this to share how grateful I am
to be able to walk much less run and that it's not taken for granted
...I am grateful for my life...my health...my body. Thank you for reading.

I spent a lot of time stalking the aisles at the Depot of Home today as well as a few other stores.

My wallet got the best workout, however.

I am newly returned to exercise. It's been over a year since I was serious about it. It shows. I've gained SO much weight over the last year and a half. I'm very disappointed in myself.

SO

I started with doing Couch to 5k. (C25k) Week one stuff came up and I went a week between days. So I repeated week one (tomorrow is day three of my second attempt)

I'd LOVE to say its getting easier. It's not. Ok, maybe a little. I couldn't run 30 seconds when I first started so....but I'm still not ready for week two. But baby steps is fine with me. At least I'm sticking with it this time. :hangloose:

I've started losing weight slowly (8lbs in a couple weeks) and its encouraging me to do more.

This week:

I started doing yoga again in the mornings. It's amazing how happy my joints are again.....(f)
Yesterday I found a kick ass Kickboxing class. A bit....ambitious....for me yet. But I did what I could and I will be doing it more often.
Today, a easy kettle bell workout. I forgot how much I enjoy kettle bells!
Oh and I also took my new kayak out for about an hour. It was pure bliss.

Tomorrow I'll do my C25K in the morning and maybe yoga if I can squeeze it in before work.

Note to Greco: I envy you! I cant imagine running a mile at this point. Let alone 10. Good for you!

ETA: the workouts I did with kettle bells and kickboxing, I found on YouTube. You can find most anything there! My yoga is on there too (Adrienne is my go to yoga goddess <3)

Feel excited and nervous...5.5months out of 2019 NYC Marathon
run. So, light candles that the temp is 54degrees and no rain or wind.

Yes, perhaps that is a wish only...taking a light poncho just in case
and yes, packing has already started...only want my sister to move
from Queens to Central Park West...Ha! not going to happen but there
is Uber...so, light candles, lots of candles...smiling.
