My woman is so contented taking care of our home and pets and talking all day on the phone with her family that I asked her to knit me a sweater :knitgirl:..she slapped me.

I don't want to make her mad...she wears high heels..sharp ones.

Simple Silence

Moments of silence. I'm an introvert. Everyday there comes a point that I've listened to enough music, talked/texted enough with whomever, strained my eyes enough on work and had enough of life noise. Turning away from everything and just sitting there or leisurely writing or doodling with pencil and paper is incredibly peaceful and grounding.

the peck of freezing rain we had here earlier. It brought my focus off my school work for a minute..which gave me a much needed break. I often forget to take those breaks.

It's nice someone has mah back

Sleep is the only thing that gives me peace, when I do get sleep.

Doesn't happen often due to my phone always ringing with creditors, etc. I can't turn it off due to family emergency stuff.

Sleep Little Baby

A 2 liter bottle of Pepsi and a 16oz jar of planters dry roasted peanuts. :beerfunnel:

And a 4 week old fat baby kitten that's grey with fuzzy fur and one white paw.

At this moment she's bringing me peace.

She's napping of course..(the kitty too)

Waking up early enough to finish brewing a pot of coffee before the sun starts to rise. Opening up the blinds and then standing in my living room in a place where I can see out all three windows and watch the the world down below/all around me come to life as I sip my coffee savoring each drop.

Hearing from my oldest every year before he heads out to celebrate on New Year's Eve. Again when he gets to where he's headed. Again after midnight, and then again on New Year's Day after he's made it home safely. My son has done this every year but one since the age of 18 and he's now in his mid 30's. And the one year he forgot, this year, he still called me before he left, when he got there and before noon the next day. Major dependable, reliable, responsible he is and that gives me such a feeling of peace.

Keeping a little put aside for a rainy day. My sons laugh and give me grief about it but even though they think I'm being paranoid, if they see a really good price on something, some necessity they'll alert me to the sale or occasionally pick something up for me. It gives me a real sense of peace, feeling of safety and comfort to look in my closets, cabinets, pantry whatever and see multiples of things I use on a regular, best of all every day basis.

Best feeling in the world...

People who honor and respect your boundaries and treat you with courtesy, kindness and who demonstrate good will. This is essential to a peaceful coexistence in life and provides the best feeling in the world.

Seeing as I have a tendency to overthink...a lot...this can be a bit challenging at times. But, what brings me peace is really just trying to focus on the moment at hand and accept everything as it is at this moment in time. This really allows me to open my heart up to gratitude, and sometimes that feeling can be so overwhelming that it feels like my heart may burst! In a very good way, of course.

Music and Mother Nature are the two main catalysts that help me get to that place.

The support of my partners and hearing someone tell me I did the right thing, no matter how hard it was and that I am a good mother.
