The extreme degree of male privilege at work. It makes me SICK.

I have only had two employers (talking full time work as an adult). The first one I was at for 12 years and it really was about one's quality of work, there. This job, after 5 years, I STILL get blown away by the privilege. Why, I don't know...'cause it is nonprofit mental health maybe? I expect more I suppose. What the hell? It sucks.

I can't wait for the current chairman to retire. I believe that will help some. The misogyny is palatable at this place.

I was watching Jane V Mitchel on tv this evening,they were showing Casey Anthony's reaction to the trial as it has been going on,for the many months since Caylee was murdered she has been definatly not present to take responsablity for what has been done,it makes me sick,to top it off someone said thay Casey may be a lesbian cause she was out danceing with other women.Jazus,women havebeen danceing together for generations..besides lesbians dont need that kind of crap remotley associated with them.Casey is not going to get away with this no matter how many ways her lawyer trys to muddy up the water..just will she get the death penalty or rot in jail.

A lady at DeVry University did this, when I was still working there. As she was walking out of the restroom, I said out loud, "That is fucking disgusting". The woman walked away very fast.

I call this "Attack of the Giant Assumptions"

I was in a class, and the teacher opened with one of those darn icebreaker activities. This one was a kind of "Bingo", with questions in squares. The questions were mostly things like "Someone who has three or more kids", or "Someone who has run a marathon". You had to circulate around and find those people, and they signed the correct box (did that make sense?).

First, there is one African-American woman in the class. As soon as the teacher said "Go", everyone else was swarming around her. The reason? One of the questions was "Someone who knows what Juneteenth is". I couldn't believe one student actually said, "I'm sure you'd know what that is!"

Another question was "Someone who knows what a Seder is". People were searching all over for someone to sign that one, and I'm just sitting there, sort of amused. Finally, I spoke up, and I cannot be sure, but I think someone really said "You don't look Jewish" :mad:. If I'd really heard that clearly, I might have snapped back, "Yeah, neither did Sammy Davis Jr. and Marilyn Monroe." What do Jews look like, anyway?

What if the Black woman hadn't been born in America, or otherwise didn't know what Juneteenth is? Assumptions, anyone?

The city murdered more perfectly good trees in my area of the nature reserve again today. They claim there was too much diversity. Trees that grew together for hundreds of years in peace.They told me it is good for them all to be the same-oak. More than half the forest where the animals and I live will be gone tomorrow.

My step daughter moved in 2 weeks ago has an overnight date this weekend and refuses to go on birth control because she forgets to take the pills or just doesn't want to.

Tree trimmers supposed to be @ my house @ 7:30AM this morning. At 8:00, I called the company & oh, they need to reschedule for tomorrow. Now I am late for work & then need to leave early tomorrow *grrr*.

Have to trim my trees because my neighbor keeps coming into my yard when I am not home to whack off branches on ny tree (big beautiful 50 year old tree). He says he is not cutting my tree but my other neighbor sees him in my yard with his ladder.

Oh & it costs a fortune to trim them professionally.

If you do not know how to do your job or take a shitty approach and do your job half-ass which causes me to have to run around cleaning up your mess, you need to find yourself another job.
