The foreign version of A Girl with a Dragon Tattoo

Loved it subtitles and all except it could of have had a better ending.

Last weekend Clay talked me into watching "Slingblade" a movie i'd avoided because of my misconception as to content...

i was so wrong...it was awesome!

Thank you Honey!

SoulShineFemme 05-26-2012 08:36 PM

This weekend ONLY and I watched One For The Money and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

WOW! Both were winners for very different reasons. :)

Just finished _Albert Nobbs_. I had to wait to see it (and buy it) since it didn't come to this part of the state. I am glad the film will fit nicely into my manuscript I am preparing.

StillettoDoll 05-27-2012 06:10 PM

Me and BLaze went to see this movie. I have been wanting to see it for a few weeks. It's very good and funny!:hangloose: I recommend it! specially for us Texas folk.

Thrive

Interesting documentary on science and politics and the poweful elite. The maker, a descendent of the Proctor and Gamble dynasty, explores the universal energy pattern in all processes of life, the ways in which this free energy pattern can be used in everyday applications, the ways and the people who have squashed the research on it because it threatened their money and power.

Very interesting segment on following the money in the world of global economics and financial voodoo.

Chasing Madoff

Documented is the story of how Harry Markopolos and his team of investigators pieced together a chain of white-collar predators and revealed some of the most frightening truths behind the infamous scandal.

Fascinating expose of the 4 men who fought to bring the fraud to light for years before anyone would act. Kind of disgusting look at the depths of human greed, the depths of global governmental corruption fueled by profit and the power it wields, the willingness at all levels to turn the other cheek, and the overall lack of ethics in the money industry.

Loved the perserverance of Harry Markopolos, who at great risk to himself and his family, was determined to do the right thing.

Went and saw 'Snow White and the Huntsman' last night and was disappointed. I was really looking forward to it. The costumes and sets were amazing, but the story was really lacking.

Fancy 06-06-2012 08:15 AM

Started watching Whistleblower last night, and had to turn it off.

While it's an important story to tell, and awareness of these atrocities is vital...it's quite disturbing.

I saw it too and was disappointed. I would have preferred to see Hubert Page's story. I wanted to know more about Hubert and his wife, their life, etc. We got small glimpses into his and his wife's story. He was the most interesting character and I loved the ending and the hint that Hubert gets the girl. I also didn't like the explanation in the film for Albert passing as male as partly due to a gang rape he experienced at 15.

SugarFemme 06-08-2012 05:36 AM

I watched this on Netflix. AWESOME film.

stargazingboi 06-10-2012 07:20 PM

a Quote from "The Vow"

“I vow to always faithfully love you in all of your forms, now and forever
I promise to never forget that this the once and a life time love
And always know the deepest part of my soul now matter what challenges get in the way or try and tear us apart, that we will always find a way back to each other”

LadyRain 06-10-2012 08:39 PM

marigold hotel.............wonderful Judy Dench rocks!

*Anya* 06-24-2012 09:25 AM

I already posted about this movie on the smile thread but the truth is, I did not just smile-I laughed my ass off.

Entertainment Weekly gave it a B but I give it an A.

If you can remember what it was like to be a teen (especially if you were kind of nerdy), if you liked old-school Risky Business but can get into new school and are not prudish; you might laugh as much as I did.

Forewarned is forearmed:)

Name: Project X.

Second movie- not nearly as funny but some chuckles because it has Paul Rudd, who is always funny: Wanderlust.

SoulShineFemme 07-01-2012 08:46 AM

We have had the time to rent a few movies lately. :) We watched The Priest, We Bought A Zoo and we are getting ready to watch 21 Jump Street soon.

Quintease 07-01-2012 09:25 AM
