I am crushing on ME. My super persuasive skills have gotten me two donations from professional toymakers for an upcoming toy auction.

Just in case you didn't know, I'm a fool. I'm a fool for romance and the need to see that everyone finds romance, love and maybe a partner for life. Who knows? All I know is I love this thread because it reminds me of being young and crushing on girls. God I loved that feeling. I really think this thread is helping me get my groove and my names not even Stella.....STELLA!!! Sorry every time I see that name or hear it I need to yell...STELLA! So I'll bump this thread and sit back and watch majic happen. ;)

SleepyButch 07-04-2012 06:11 AM

This thread is not only a great ego boost when someone says they are crushing on you but it's also wonderful to know that people do still have the ability to feel that twang when they think of someone else. I am a hopeless romantic and not afraid to admit it!

Carry on...

Nomad 07-04-2012 06:39 AM

i'm crushing on Ivan Coyote today. i'm sure hy's crushing on me too.

Posting while potatoes cool to mix into salad:

When crushing I find they change and morph sometimes. While I enjoy the flirtation and exploration of personalities, I find at times things pop up to make me step and wonder what I really desire in my life. I desire healthy interactions, positive people, loving people, compassion and genuine kindness.
Some of my crushes fade over time and some of them disappear rapidly in a puff of smoke.

What are some of the things you admire about your crush or crushes? I know some have posted a few things about theirs, let's the rest of us do it, too.

Dang, timer went off. Back in a bit! :rrose:

Mr Nice Guy 07-04-2012 11:32 AM

I admire their wit, kindness and cuteness.

Hi Bree!:)

SleepyButch 07-04-2012 12:18 PM

I think for me, my crush first starts when I see that a femme is feisty. I may know nothing about them but if you can be witty, bratty, and not take my shit, I will definitely have a crush. It may just be a benign crush, but you never know...

Julien 07-04-2012 12:40 PM

Thank you Mr Nice Guy and Sleepy Butch for getting their crushable traits out there.

For me personally, I like a sense of humor, witty and thoughtful conversation, compassion, a certain brashness and confidence that attracts my attention to their crushability. You will have me there crushing on you in a heartbeat.:rrose:

~ocean 07-04-2012 01:27 PM

can lust be like a crush or do u really have to like the person too ??? lol ~~~~ just saying ~

Breezy 07-04-2012 01:35 PM

Hi Mr. NG! :), Hi Julien , SB & ~ocean.

Certainly lust can be a component. Why not? lol.

Me? Intelligence mentally and emotionally, compassion, kindness, ability to communicate, loving in both receiving and giving, humor, vulnerability and a romantic edge just to name a few things.

What's wrong with a little bit of lust? :rrose:
Here's a question, can there be lust between two people even if they haven't met yet?
Personally I think so and have experienced it on occasion.

Wouldn't that be lusting after their mind...if you've never met them? Yes...so says me! Yes.

SleepyButch 07-04-2012 04:17 PM

Lust is definitely acceptable. Especially that first twinge of lust, when either you or she says something and you feel that sexual electricity inside your bones... okay.. no pun intended there lol.

Mr Nice Guy 07-04-2012 04:32 PM

Lust gets me in trouble but I like it.

SugarFemme 07-04-2012 04:58 PM

IMHO language is VERY strong. When used in a way that elicits an emotional or physical response, it can and has been totally translated to lust for many of us. So even though you may not have met someone face to face, and all you have are words, those words can stir up a plethora of emotions, including lust. Just my .02 cents.

Lust and crush are two separate things for me. Lust for me is instantaneously. Crushes take time. Its their character and personality that breeds a crush. Now, add lust to a crush and mix in mutual pursuit and there is potential for a relationship, friendship or romance. And over time, true love can develop....again, friendship or romance. Hopefully, both.

Mr Nice Guy 07-04-2012 05:09 PM

I'm a sucker for romance. But I think you all knew that. ;)

***Hi everyone!!! Happy 4th:fireworks:

Sometimes the rejection of a crush can be sting enough... I'm just saying.:dots:

Assuming of course, that you are rejected. :) Think positive!

But it's a crush. I think most people would be flattered. It's not like asking someone on a date and they reject you.

Yeah, really. Jist me is right. BE POSITIVE! :)

SleepyButch 07-04-2012 08:12 PM

So what you are saying is...

What makes a King out of a slave? Courage.

What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage.

What makes the elephant charge his tusk in the misty mist or the dusky dusk? Courage

What makes the muskrat guard his musk? Courage.

What makes the Sphinx the 7th Wonder? Courage.

What makes the dawn come up like THUNDER?! Courage.

What makes the Hottentot so hot? Courage

What puts the "ape" in ape-ricot? Courage

Whatta they got that I ain't got? Courage!

lol

~ocean 07-04-2012 09:23 PM

umm sleepy i think it took courage to post that lol ~~~~ just saying~~

I have a big ol femmie-femme crush on sugarnspice <3

Ciaran 07-04-2012 10:17 PM

Telling someone you've a crush on them or not doesn't necessarily come down to courage. In most cases, it's as much about how that could be perceived by the other person.

For example, if someone told me that they had a crush on me, I'd probably be slighly spooked because, to me, subconsciously, the word "crush" has connatations of teenage years and slightly unbalanced reactions caused by a combination of overactive hormones and naivety.

That's not to disrespect those who crush - as I do too. However, I'd never tell someone that I had a "crush" on them. I might tell them that they are attractive or beautiful or something else but I wouldn't use the "crush" word.
