Waiting outside of a fabulous Mediterranean restaurant for the other members of my group to get here. I am starving and can smell the schwarma from here.

Listening to music on Youtube, doing laundry and maintaining the house for 2 weeks while the owners are gone.

Reading the fun little manual that came with my digital voice recorder, watching a show on Hulu, and playing on the forum.

I'm sitting in a motel room in Nebraska watching/listening to Tom Brokaw talk about his cancer. I probably should find something more cheerful but motels no longer provide tv channel guides and I can't face flipping through some 900 channels looking for a tiny kernel of something interesting to watch...I'd even take the weather channel if I could find it...

btw, have you noticed, weather has become the new porn, dethroning the food channels...who can resist watching tornadoes ripping through senior citizen mobile home retirement communities with tearful residents clutching tattered photo albums...just when did this kind of programming become acceptable weather reporting?

Preparing to go to work for a lousy two hours....yeah I gotta stop offering to do these little jobs..its so not worth getting up early on a weekend for...

I'm sitting in a motel room in Council Bluffs Iowa....thinking that Iowa, so far, doesn't look a whole lot different than Nebraska
Checked out a Cracker Barrel Restaurant nearby till I saw the sign saying they welcome people of all colours, creeds, religions, nationalities...and there it stopped.

We've been busy this weekend getting everything set up for a massive garage sale next weekend, so I just spent four hours dredging through jobs and have applied to 8. Now going to bed to be up in 4 hours!

You mean besides laying on my oh so comfortable bed, sipping hot French Roast, laptop, on you guessed it, my lap, perusing this site?

Sitting on my balcony with coffee and my laptop, imagining the view I'll have from my new terrace; a tree canopy instead of rooftops, and the sound of (what? birds? is it too high up?) instead of this soundscape of cars below and the aboveground train rattling a block away and the occasional siren and dog outside the grocery store, tied up and barking. Good bye, sirens. Good bye people on the patio way down there, looking like dolls on a set and having pancakes. Good bye these tough three years and the better ones ahead.

Taking a break between chores. Almost done and it's not even 9am. :)
