Happy Sunday Friends.

I am watching CBS Morning News late and had breakfast late. I guess I will work in the yard in the heat. I spent the morning chatting with my son, a lovely lady, and my dear buddy.

This is second Father's Day without my dad, and I miss talking to him. Today, I will try to stay busy to keep the sadness at bay. I am decluttering my desk area and running the vacuum for starters. Then I may make it to the outside and clean some windows. :)

I'm sorry.... This must be a hard day for you.

My father died when I was 6. I don't remember him as my parents were not together after I was born. But I do wish I remembered him. All I have are two pictures. I do have a step-dad. He's a pretty cool guy.

It is hot, did I say it was hot? Let me be perfectly clear it is HOT.

We are cooling down to 93 tomorrow. Yipheeee..LOL. The humidity kicked my ass last week.

I got up super early this morning. The baby kitty and I ate breakfast and now I am watching CBS Sunday Morning News.

Today will be productive with recycling, grocery shopping, and cleaning house. I hope that everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

This is one of those rare times when I am actually awake during Sunday morning! I've already had breakfast, even.

It's going to get up to 91 today, which is hot, but not as hot as yesterday when it was around 100. My car almost overheated yesterday, and I had to drive around with the windows down and the a/c off - ugggghhhhhh.

Today I will do some cleaning, and then I am going to spend the rest of the day doing crafty stuff. Inside with the a/c! And I also have to decide what I'm going to wear tomorrow to have my picture made.

I've had a truly lazy morning and have been loving every minute of it.

French pressed coffee both in bed and on the balcony overlooking the beautiful river while I mosey through various websites filling my head with all that's good and bad in the world and much to ponder.

I also just had leftover Chinese for breakfast (I did heat it! I'm not an animal, yanno).

Now, I might head out to check out any bargains at a couple of stores.

I don't think that in the 15 years that I have been coming to the beach on the weekends that I don't feel a sense of peace every day that I am here. Well, maybe not always peace. But, definitely always grateful that I live close enough to a beach and have the ability to be here often during the spring/summer months. As soon as I drive into town, my anxieties float away. I don't even need to go to the actual beach the entire weekend I am down here to feel the peace and calm. I don't even need to leave my development. It is just being in this space, knowing the ocean and a town that is heavy with LGBT peeps, that feels so good. so today is another grateful overeasy Sunday morning in my little world.

Good morning! It will be 90°, and stormy off and on today here. Hopefully I can get some quick grocery shopping in before the storms hit. I accomplished a lot around the house yesterday, so today is going to be a lazy, movie watching, craft doing Sunday for me.

Looks like I was logged in all night haha. After the fire alarm at 1:00 am I slept in late. The baby kitty wanted me to get up and play. I have an easy day today I can do whatever I want.

Happy Independence weekend! We have lots going on. We bought a new bed frame, new mattress and a new dresser and mirror. So we are going to be busy changing everything out the next two days.
Red's birthday is this coming Wednesday so I am trying to sneak around to get things planned for that :-).

Definitely a day for needle and thread crafting.

It's been coffee and maple doughnuts so far, along with some interesting conversations. Manager styles, how HR plays an important part, and infectious control technology.

I've finished laundry and errands. Getting ready to go on an afternoon date. Then a retirement party for a good friend. The sun is out and all is well. Have fun and be safe out there!

Doing some of those necessities that adults have to do today. Going to a cookout this evening with fireworks. Should be fun.... Gonna be lots of people.

The GF meeting up with a group of guys she used to supervise at her old job for lunch (it touches me that this group of men still call her occasionally with problems at work, or when they get other job offers, for her input. She hired most of them and cheers on their successes; even though she was the one that got laid off).

I am going to watch an Inpector Lewis that I recorded.

Fun day planned, starting with Brunch at Rococo's then off to the Art Museum to see the movie Wiener-Dog. All to celebrate Reds' birthday. Friends are joining us for brunch as a surprise.

I have been busy non-stop since getting up. Laundry, cooking and getting ready for the hot hot work week ahead. The long hours in the sun are starting to kick my ass.

I am done with all of the hate. Last week I told a co-worker to not talk to me if all he has to say were bad things about people he doesn't have a clue about. I'm finished with listening to vile spewing opinions. If you can't say something nice then STFU.
