A member expressed concern regarding other members using the term "wifebeater" / "wife beater" in this thread. Of course, it's being used to refer to a sleeveless, usually white undershirt/t-shirt/tank top/singlet, but it also has an association with domestic violence (thought to be what a man wears when he beats his wife). I am instructing that this term not be used on this site; however, if you wish to have any discussion about whether using the term "wifebeater" in reference to this type of shirt is offensive, feel free to start a thread to discuss it.
