Cell Phone Virus Attacks Over 1 Million Cell Phone Users in China
Report from thirdage.com Cell phone virus has attacked over one million cell phone users in China, and Chinese authorities are currently trying to stop the spread of the spam-texting virus, according to DigitalTrends.com. More than one million cell phones in China have been infected with a virus that continually sends out text messages, costing the country's citizens $300,000 a day, according to InformationWeek, as reported by Shanghai Daily. How does the virus spread? The "zombie" virus is hidden in a fake anti-virus app. Once the app is installed, the virus sends all of the names and phone numbers on a user's SIM card to the hackers, who then automatically take control of the phone, sending spam texts out to recipients. According to Zhou Yonglin, an official with China's National Computer Network Emergency Response Team, about 1 million cell phones had been infected since the beginning of September, and mobile operators were having difficulty eradicating the malicious application, owing to the breakneck pace of new variations appearing. Cell phone viruses pose a growing problem with the increase in smartphones going on the market. Read more: http://www.thirdage.com/news/cell-ph...#ixzz152INj5Gx |
Android phone
I can't wait until I get my T-Mobile myTouch 3G slide phone! It's like an iPhone but without the dropped calls and crappy AT&T service. I ordered it on-line today and should have it in about a week. Yay! Android!

Being retired has it benefits. The biggest is life slows to a leisurely pace. It's very nice. Except, the rest of the world, insists on moving faster than the speed of light. It's annoying. So, STOP IT! |
The truth is hard to speak sometimes.
Especially if it exposes vulnerabilities. But.... the truth is that the truth is always best. Just sayin (sorry...i had to). |

It's nice to volunteer....
I called my place just now to tell them I was running a little behind and that I'd be late. They knew I was having a big ol' party this weekend (and the book drive is to benefit them...Dell Children's Family Resource Center ~ library) and suggested I not sweat it and reassured me they were covered today. They are so great to me! I heart them big!!! :stillheart: |

Capitol Christmas Tree 2010 The Bridger-Teton National Forest, at the request of Senator John Barrasso, is leading the State of Wyoming in the delivery of the Capitol Christmas Tree for 2010. The Capitol Christmas Tree will grace the west front lawn of the U.S. Capitol in December, 2010. The search is currently on in the Bridger-Teton National Forest of western Wyoming for the perfect 65-foot tree. Once the Superintendent of the Capitol Grounds selects the tree in July, it will be cut, loaded, covered and prepped for travel in November. In mid-November, the tree will be toured across the state of Wyoming before heading east to the U.S. Capitol. In late November, the tree will be delivered to the U.S. Capitol, where it will be lowered into 5-foot deep hole, strung with lights, and decorated with thousands of handcrafted ornaments made by Wyomingites from across the State. In December, the Speaker of the House will light the tree and showcase Wyoming's historical, cultural and natural beauty. Through the holiday season, the tree will be lit at dusk, where it will be enjoyed by people from across world. The theme of Wyoming's tree is "Wyoming- Forever West." Meet The Illinois Woman Arrested For Assaulting Cop With A Sex Toy
when Bildsten reached inside a dresser drawer to get the purported cash, she instead removed a “clear, rigid feminine pleasure device,” held it above her head, and advanced on the cop “in a threatening manner.” The officer responded by knocking the sex toy out of the way before he was struck with the device. The sex toy, which was not confiscated by cops, was further described by Deputy Chief Kevin Woodside in a TSG interview. The item, he noted, was six inches long and “attached to a nylon harness.” |

The fire alarm has stopped beeping. The relief is palpable.
However, only time will tell if Lulu is able to overcome the neurosis caused by the piercing sounds (every 40 seconds for 2 days). |
