sitting out at Sands Beach and watching the incredible pod of dolphins..who JUST hammed it up for me..they frolicked, breached, and water spouted right in front of me for over an hour.
Seeing these magnificnet creatures always brings me such a serene space...a calm aura about them..and makes be in awe of their majestic powers...how incredibly beautiful they are and how amazingly intelligent they are! I see them every time I go to this place..and they are usually only about 5 to 8 feet in front of me...Miss Scarlett & I have watched them here many times...I found this place by accident three years ago..after my wife passed...and I go there often.....they bring a smile to my face like no one else can... |
Sitting out on our deck and Bully cookin wonderful burgers. The weather is perfect today somewhere in the 70s. A fun game of Yahtzee and just some down time after a long day at work.
Nothing better than being excited to get home and loving every minute of being there. Oh anddddd chocolate cake for desert. Yum!!!! |

I've been wanting to get a mirror for my dresser for awhile, but money has been tight and it's a low priority.
Today, heading home....I passed a garage sale and saw a beautiful, huge, tri-fold mirror in light colored wood that would go with my white wicker. I stopped. It's Bernhardt....not a scratch on it....absolutely gorgeous...weighs a ton...and would cost me hundreds to buy in a store. I got it for $5 because the people were packing up and didn't want to carry it back inside. :cheesy: |

My sister and I set up a Facebook account for my mom for mothers day. She said "hey do you want mimosas?" to which I replied "hell yeah!". We laughed so much. And it could have been from the pictures of mom from the 70s we put on her profile, or the mimosas.

My Aunt
dont think the name fits but it is what it is As I sit here typing and looking at the picture of her hours before she passed My mind travels back to better days as I was never to far from her I dont know how she identified I dont think she could this was back in the 60's she hid from our own family the women she lived with for 39 years was "just" a roommate my "aunt" had a separate bedroom and spent a lot of time there as I could not leave her side. "She" was butch as they come. You can prolly find her on the net with some effort as she was the first woman to pitch a no hitter to a professional mens baseball team. I prolly make " her" out to be more then is true to life but I can not do less as I go back and look at 8 mil films and watch "her" play and work on her 55 and 57 chevys white T with the sleeves rolled up pack of smokes packed tight in the left sleeve levi type jeans me laying on the ground in front with the tool box "her" asking for a 1"in socket my taking the tool "she" just had wiping the grease

Turning around to see a "Moose" (100 pound Mastiff) and my Peppa (28 pound hell on wheels Beagle) playing tug a war with a sock..I wish I had a camcorder and was fast enough to catch the 2 to 3 seconds I got to watch.

until grandpa had a near death experience and stated he did not she her in the light but he was able to see everyone else. I took this as it was not his time but my own mother stated it was be cause she was burning in hell... I have only the 8 mil films to remember "her" by. everyday they become more degraded. My "mother" and "father" asking for the films when there is contact... Over my dead body ... being it is "Mothers" Day I give Thanks to "her"

My whole family, not just my dad, coming to the house. My dad re-grouted our shower, hooked up the washer (free, from him) and cleaned up and upgraded the dryer and dryer hose!
Then we all scraped wallpaper! Cleared one wall, and all but one foot along top of second wall. Woohoo for teamwork :D Pizza and root beer for dinner. Dad said he will bring me my mom's 9 foot Christmas tree next weekend because it does not fit in their house. :blush: So stoked they love the house! |
Getting that call from my son, it made my day complete.:praying:
