Weight lifted off and feeling comfortable
 

I called about a practicum site again today and the woman remarked at how I have been having a hard time getting her all week and she was just headed in for a group session. She said she was going to turn the phone over to her secretary and she would give me the telephone number of the main facility to speak to Human Resources. I got the number, the name, and extension. I called and she told me she would call back the woman I just spoke to and have her do an interview. I would have an application to fill out and I needed to talk to her again in the afternoon. So I called this afternoon and this woman tells me she really doesn't want to do an interview, but she wanted to let me know there is much more involved than just apply and interview. I would have to go through fingerprinting, child abuse clearances, federal clearances, etc...and asked if I had a problem with that. I told her I had no problem with any of that and actually already had my child abuse clearances. She informed me she wanted new ones because of how old these were. I said ok - that would be fine. I asked if all of the paperwork would go through by the end of May and she said we will make it work. Soooo...she asked me to call her cell phone on Sunday to make an appointment for Monday. It looks like I am in! this woman is also working on her Master's degree AND is the sister of a gentleman I have not seen in years, but used to be friends with. Her and her brother also know my parents from attending the same church years ago when my parents were still able to do that. It sounds like a good situation and after the conversation I felt a BIG HUGE weight lifted off of my shoulders. Have I said lately how blessed that I am? I truly am blessed. :cool:

BED PARTIES! - No, it's not always something dirty. Except when it is!

A "bed party" consists of getting in bed on Saturday afternoon surrounded by food, drinks, books, card games, and anything else you think you might need. Sometimes you'll play the radio while you lounge with your lover playing cards. Sometimes you're playing your new Playstation 3 on the big screen. Sometimes you're sexing it up. Sometimes you're just laying there talking about what you would do with a billion dollars.

It's the most decadent way to waste an entire day with your lover.

A quiet, peaceful Easter weekend with absolutely beautiful weather ... company of good friends ... delightful breakfast each morning ... hugging a good friend that we bumped into at the restaurant, finding her in good health and good spirits ... waking up to find teee-tiny tender veggie plants peaking their tops through the soil and getting excited about planting a garden soon... coming home to a beautiful, peaceful farmhouse ....and puppy cuddles from two love bugs

Sitting under the oak trees .. with a slight, refreshing breeze... waiting on the coals to be ready to grill my favorite wings... the quiet of the country .. comfort ...a day at my own pace... hanging laundry out for the first time this year... a calming feeling of being grounded to this piece of land... yummy fresh local strawberries that are DEVINE with whipped topping ... blue skies and the sunshine warming my sore back... I wish every day could be at this pace.
