My second party of the day has been cancelled due to the untimely illness of the party's host.

we have landed here in .. DALLAS , TEXAS!!! YAYYYY!! but after driving all last night and all this morning. we r to pooped .. soo took a shower.... and wow i feel a nap coming on. and its SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE HERE AT THE PLANET!! wish we had the energy ...... to go over to gaytown , and enjoy some gay bingo tonight. *sigh* ....... oh well. im sure we'll be bk around here a lot more times. we figure will be hangin around the big D... thru till monday or so.. soo tomorrow... think we are going out for a nice sunday dinner and check out a few shops in the gayborhood...wondering if any of the dallas Planet crowd are roaming about |

ty Lady Snow for bumping it up :) lol to bring in the new yr.. well ... at my friends farm.. cooking some chicken on the grill.. making some black eye peas.. and other sides.. .... and well though about driving to charlotte afterwards... which is almost a 2 hr drive.. but having secong thoughts. cuz i need a shower yet... and well ..... my co driver is pissed and pouting.. cuz we might just end up doing new yrs with my friends at the farm. *sigh*....... geeshh. im runnin out of energy here.. went for a hike.. getting groceries... now im making the dinner .. cuz my friend is moving hay bales around..... and ...... anyways.... hope you all have a happy new year and a safe weekend. :) |

Hang in there, flutter!
I've got a little more than 6 hours to go myself before midnight. New Year's will come quietly for me. I will make a quick trip to the store for sustainables and munchies and then it's home I go. I've got fake bubbly cuz I can't stand the real stuff and I'll have some stuff to nibble on and I'm sure one of my neighbors will come out and have some fun. |

Hellow ladies,nice to see someone is hear,looks like u all have it planed out to see the ole year out and the new one in.Im celebrateing new years lunch/dinner dependes one wich one is the holiday meal...tonight for dinner cause my son and his buddys have plans for tomorrow.
I cooked t-bone steak,green beans and red potatoes with a chunk of ham choped to bits along with some sweet onion not to mention cajun seasonings.I also made some garlic bread from scratch.All was good but since ive been a bit down with stomach crud(food poision from who knows where)my appetite isnt up to par.Anywho u all have agreat weekend and be safe. |

It's 10pmhere.Ima gonna take a hot bath smoke a doobie have a glass of wine put on my robe go out naakin as a baby jay bird open my robe run down my drive way praising and thanikin the Goddess for all my blessings. then I;m a gonna get in my truck with my bottle, and drive a block to the beach and watch the fireworks over Chicago.Happy New Year All!

It is a beautiful night, in the 70s and breezy, so I am going to sit on the porch sipping my favorite wine, eating some baked brie with fruit and crackers and listening to recordings of old radio theater shows and the New Year's gun fire.

I am rocking my pink elephant pajama pants while my chihuahua and I hold down my couch watching a The Big Bang Theory marathon and receiving text messages from friends that are at New Year's Eve parties.

Went shopping earlier to get warm pj's for my grandson, but now I'm taking turns vacuuming and listening to beloved old music from the 70's. I listen to an album (well I may also repeat a song or two, LOL) and them I vacuum a room. So far I've been listening to Meg Christian and Chris Williamson. I started on youtube, but then when I couldn't get it loud enough to make me happy, I got out my old albums and I'm listening to to them on my turntable. For the youngones among you, an album is a disc of vinyl - the precurser to the CD and a turntable is what you used to play them on. They were VERY cool. Anyway, I'm having a ball all by myself, and I hope you are too whatever you are doing.

Went to auction looking for a dresser and to people watch.... it was a packed house! ...didn't get dresser, many of them went too high.....but got a nice, huge cedar chest for $20, a new Tupperware cupcake carrier, new glass baking dish with woven basket and hot/cold packs, and a sculpture of a puppy with long loopy ears that reminded me of a dearly departed old furbaby.... then I called Blade to bring the truck for the cedar chest. He kindly delivered it to my house ... then later I enjoyed getting back to working on a copper etching ....just listening to the rain now...

Today was busy and fun; museum, Balboa Park, bookstores, fresh baked sourdough baguette from our favorite bakery.
Just relaxing with a nice Pinot Noir now. Life is good. |

Watched Rio with The Boy. Now watching Predators, don't know what it is about those ugly beasts that keeps me fascinated.
