Hearing my daughter upstairs laughing with her friend. The cat on the couch on one side of me, the dog on the other side, knowing the world is exactly as it should be.
The book I am reading by an awesome Egyptian author. My daughters first week of student teaching an absolute success. My father calling me to tell me what a special woman I am. And the yummy burrito that has my name on it from that lil hole in the wall Mexican joint that's going to be in my tummy in about an hour <Big ole Cheshire cat grin>. |

I hung my Cmas cards around my arched doorway. This house is so old and so caught in time. You would swear it looks like a Christmas card in and of itself with these cards hung!
I hung ice skates and huge red velvet ribbons off my front porch posts. So welcoming and dear... I made it a point to send Cmas cards to all my family, most of all my aunts and cousins who never keep contact with one another. I will be hosting some get togethers at rose cottage for all of us too this year. Family needs to keep in touch. Our connections make us real, whether its thru blood or chosen family... I am in the process of cleaning out my closet some more. I have way too many clothes for my life now and others can use them. I have started filling the bird feeders. I am also saving the tenders, juices, cartilages, skins, etc from meat to give to the wild ferral cats around my neighborhood. Many live in my garage and shed during the winter. If i were one of them, I would want an old lady to feed me her scraps too... |
