Just coming in from an early evening and much needed girls night with good friends. Now settling in. My more handsome half is out working a security gig 4 hours away and I expect her to creep in at probably 5-6 am. I plan to go to bed soon with netflix and a bed full of dogs. :hangloose:

had tenant move out of triplex yesterday....so painted Bathroom today new tenants move in tomorrow.....my high school buddy,s father whose mobile home burned down a month ago with all his belongings...he is disabilty fixed income. He will be a great tenant.So my sore arsh is in recliner watchin college footbowl highlights.

Just watched Neil Simon on Austin City Limits then a bluegrass band which really wasn't playing bluegrass (but still good). Something about a mummy (Otzi) is now on PBS.
May be time for bed so i can wake up for "Meet the Press" and "Face the Nation". Those two and the NY Times---my Sunday morning ritual. |
Watching all the college games I taped more than likely oh and maybe catch up on some correspondence.

This is my weekend to work, so just doing morning chores and listening to the rain right now. I've got the slider window open and the rain sounds nice hitting the trees in the woods. When I start my new job I will have a much shorter commute, so I can do a lot more before work. :hangloose::hangloose::hangloose:

Sat down to catch some news and should of muted the volume or got up and left when the sports came on! Guess there isn't much need to watch some of the games I taped now! Correspondence it is!

Saturday night

We ate our favorite Vietnamese noodle house and then strolled downtown. I had parked my car there earlier with our folding chairs, there was a concert in the park. The weather was awesome. Thank you fall night. I was able to visit an antique store that was still open. There may or may not have been dancing in the street.
Hmmmm, I learned about Texas local music. Did you know there is a Texas country music station? I am going to seek that out! I love indie! Then came home to make brownies before that call came in for him to go into work. |
If the storm comes through as predicted, more than likely I'll be home sitting in the dark!

I walked around Weimar, Germany all day trying to get my bearings. Everything goes around and ends in a square! I am RIGHT in the central of this historic town, though, so I'm not complaining. I brought home a pizza from a place just up the road and was so hungry ate it all! Now, I'm watching one of three English news channels. I'm in for the night and just going to relax!

We're just in from two days of road tripping and visiting colleges for my daughter. My more handsome half is napping now and preparing to head out to work a security job 10pm-5am :| I'm making dinner for the kiddo and I and then have a hot date with my book for my book club. |
I was going to go out with a friend of mine to grab a couple of beers but, I am wayyy to comfortable to get dressed and ready. Home tonight - final answer.

The band is taking a break...
We stopped for chicken and headed off to the park downtown. Another country band, the lead is in shorts. They have a replacement base player from a Kiss tribute band. They are fun to watch and sound good. We have been singing along. Couldn't ask for nicer weather tonight. The moon is looking good. The handsome guy sitting next to me has kept me smiling and laughing. Saturday night ......ahhh, life is grand. |
It's only 8 pm here and I'm already nodding off. I couldn't sleep last night. I'm too excited about all the inventory I have coming. Lol, I'm such a dork. Woo hoo Saturday night!

After being up at 600 am to get my SUV battery "jumped"...I spent time at Wally World....then later after getting my SUV back, I went to Michael's.
I had dinner at Chili's. I love to just go & sit & be able to relax & dine..people watch!!! I have leftovers for lunch today! The evening was a great, relaxing one....spent out on my screened patio...watching that full moon rise over the backyard....and smiling inside....yes it was amazing to see!!:hangloose: |
I hit the mother lode on snail mail today so tonight after dinner I'll go through it (magazines, catalogs, postcards, etc) and then watch a bit of television. Saving my energy and money for a trip into Seattle on Tuesday!

I have a security license exam on Monday, so I'll be spending another Saturday night studying. Yay me.

Good Saturday evening....
I have had an awesome day. I was in dire need to get out, do something FUN! I had a swell time! I went to a Craft Fair, an Amish Farmer's market, & the grocery store....(IKR...being excited to go to grocery store...yep, I AM single...gimme a break...lol I may break out the fire pit tonight or tomorrow evening & make some toasted marshmallows OR s'mores....nom nom |
Just in from dinner with some friends, some of whom I had not seen in person in over 15 years. Prior to that 15 year hiatus, we had some very very very good times together. Anyway, they're the kind of friends where we just pick up where we left off and love it up. There was laughter and ass slapping and the food was... ok. But the conversations were epic. Now my honey is in bed early after a long week. I'll head up soon with a book I'm quite engrossed in.
