It's great to stay up late (and awaken to things I love)

waking up to freshly bloomed Orchids on the window sill the sound of Mourning Doves nesting and cooing outside the window the perfect banana (yes, there's a perfect banana. No brown, just a wee bit of green and firm. No comments from the peanut gallery, please.) a feeling of contentment that permeates my entire being, even before I've had my morning tea. possibilities. so many possibilities. |

The anticipation I feel regarding the nearly bloomed Lilacs. I can see the buds, they're waiting for the right moment to spring (literally and figuratively) into action. And, when they do, ah how lovely the scent and sight will be! I like Spring, I really and truly do. |

Old fashioned candy stores. I veritably squealed with delight while spending a bit of time in one this afternoon in downtown Campbell. If you get a chance, may I suggest you amble into the nearest Rocket Fizz. Utterly magical. It was like being a little girl once more, traversing the rows and rows of delectables with a dollar in my hand. Treasures, treasures and more treasures. Can you tell I really liked it? |

I really like the colors pink and purple. For the longest time I've said my favorite color is green, but when packing my clothes today I wondered 'who am I kidding'...almost everything I own is pink or purple.

I really like lilacs too but I adore roses. Not the $200 a dozen kind. The wonderful old fashioned pink fragrant cabbage roses
and I really like drinking ice water. And not the kind you buy in a bottle. Just simply out of the tap, with ice from my own freezer. scratching. Does that not feel really good? |
