This reminds me of the night my 70 year old pal with her first computer called to ask me how to do something. Me: Click on the internet explorer icon on the desktop. Her: I dont have a desk top. I have a laptop. It went steadily downhill from there. Wish I had thought of the hammer. Would have saved me a few white hairs. |

Me (handling support for a previous employer): "Ok, what is going on with your computer?"
Them: "I have a patient stuck in it." ~shakes my head and thinks, "Really? A patient managed to get stuck in your computer?" Me: "Ok, let me reset the user." -------------------------------------------- Me (after about 15 mins of troubleshooting): "Ok, the light on the computer, is it flashing?" Them: "No, it is not. No lights are on at all." Me: "Is the computer on?" Them: "I think so, but I am not sure." Me (after the light came on in MY head): "Is the PC plugged into the wall?' Them: "No, does that matter?" ~head met desk~ -------------------------------------------- Them (after calling me AT HOME AT 4:30 A.M.): "Hey, I cannot get my computer to work." Me: "How did you get my home number?" Them: "The phone book." Me: "Do you really think I can do anything from home?" Them: "Well I don't know but my PC won't work and these patients need their dialysis." Me: "You do not need the PC to do dialysis. What time is your first patient?" Them: "At 6." Me: "I will be at work at 8, I will call you then." Them: "But my first patient is at 6." Me: "Your PC does not have anything to do with the dialysis equipment." Them: "I know but it is not working." Me: "Neither am I. I will call you at 8." :sparklyheart: |

Why is it that when you are trying to rewire, for example a Operating Room light, that after you finish. The over head florescent light bulb seems to go out or the transducer. So you move your ladder, change out the bulb and you notice that the wiring seems a bit fried. So you start pulling and tracing and you notice that the prior wiring was originally put in badly. You stop what your doing and take a quick trip to Lowe's. You start wiring and see that the Air conditioning condenser is leaking awfully bad. So you start following that wiring and next thing you realize that the Liquid gas lines look pretty bad. Which makes you sigh You close the panels and climb down your ladder. Throw everything back in the tool box and wonder why where you asked to check the things that you knew where built in the early 80's and in about 4 months your moving to a new and modern Hospital....
