Text conversation with the ex
So I finally got a kayak today. I wanted to get one that both me and the 6'6" Boy could use. So it's a 12' bohemoth. So in trying to find somewhere to put it in our tiny <600sqft apartment wasn't easy. It's currently shoved between my bed and the wall blocking my A/C. :| So I have this convo with the ex via text:
Me: I think im going 2 get rid of my bed. Realistically I can sleep on the sofa just as well. Her: Dork. Just get a smaller bed. Her: Put a lid on it and become the vampire you've always wanted to be! bwahahahaha That just cracked me up. |
Making plans for the Reunion, is getting me even more excited :D

A nice visitor msg, some kind words from a private rep,a wonderful catch up convo with a good friend and my babygirl makes me smile everyday

Picking up my sweetie at work, going to a bbq. Dani playing with new kids, grown ups chatting. Swatting away mosquitoes, my feet propped on hys lap, sweet smiles and longing gazes. Packing up, coming home, relaxing with a movie, the general sprout... biding our time to bed time!

The mower quit. I knew it was the belt and thought it must have broken. I had a big smile when I found that it had just slipped off.

hearing how much I am loved, from several different sources today
a dear friend has offered to help me on my next road trip, help take a load down to where I am next settling exciting changes are afoot, all of which are making me smile also smiled a whole lot when I dropped off a final box of my ex's at the UPS store, just left a phone number, happy and smiling that I am not spending one more cent towards returning anything that was accidently loaded into my moving truck last year... now if only I could get my stuff back, oh well... at least I can live with myself, not sure how it is that my ex can but I suppose, as someone said today, I can hold my head up high - I don't lie cheat or steal, which does make me smile. Just wish more folks had a moral compass and understood right from wrong. smiling at my own gullibility and idiocy, d'who apparently believes everything people tell me |
i fixed pot roast with potatoes and carrots for dinner....as i was plating it up for me and the Prince he says "i just want you to know if i'm ever on death row i am gonna request you fix me pot roast as my last meal" my immediate face was :| followed by :blink: then a big ol :cheesy:

Going on facebook and seeing that its official ~ my big brother Bard and his gorgeous gal Desd are now officially married! WOOHOO that's got to earn a HUGE smile, the pic was amazing ............ Desd as beautiful as ever in her gown, and Bard so dapper in that suit :D

this might make you all cry but here it goes . the thing that made me smile today was recieving the VERY last picture of my dad's mom my grandmother that was taken 15 years ago 2 months before she passed . i have a copy of the picture but didnt realize my mom had the original . mom gave me a whole stack of pictures that this picture was hiding in . im a sentimental person i cherish the last picture i get of the people i love . my dad's mom was an amazing woman and now i can give my dad the gift of never forgetting her im going to have the picture blown up and give it to dad later this year for his birthday . but to have it means more then words can explain .

Finally getting over this nasty jet-lag and waking up feeling refreshed and energized.
Working all day with my honey on the girl's bedroom laying the new wood floor and putting together their new furniture with my best friend all while laughing our butts off and having a great time! Floating in the pool with the kiddos. :) |

My 19 month old nephew and his "chicken dance". He does this dance every morning in the bathroom while I'm doing my hair and makeup. He'll hunch over, stick his arms straight out behind his back and run in circles until he's laughing so hard that he topples over. Which has taught me that putting on lipstick while laughing hysterically is a bad idea...unless your goal is to wear your lipstick as a nose ring.
