counting down the days til my move....but I really should be concentrating on work

Today I saw my boss at Starbucks cry. Even though her and I disagree, a customer shoved her and swung at her. I have never knew the term, Starbucks family, until today. Several customers came to her rescue and got the customer out of the store until the police arrived. We had a very crazy day and I am sitting here watching a show on Beijing.

I really need to re-start my 30 minute meditations before the day begins. it helps to clear my mind so much better. Today's concentration is much better than yesterday's, so hopefully I can get a lot accomplished.

I need to finish booking my trip to the Macy's Parade in NYC, but as usual, I am being indecisive and dragging my feet on accommodations.

Well. Did something incredibly smart today. I put foundation on half my face (trying a new makeup brand) then forgot about only having half my face made up. Then I ran errands all day with half of a face made up :eek:

Ugh.

Yes :( And I could not figure out why people were staring at me oddly. I just assumed it was all in my head, but then I looked at myself in the car mirror :| (and btw the sun greatly enhances the difference between a bare face and a made up face.)

Next time I will do my entire face, no matter what. It is my worst nightmare to go out thinking I look so awesome, only to find out I seriously messed up lol.

Actually, I think it could be quite a conversation starter if someone was so inclined...people are always wary of the "different" instead of engaging their imagination...

I'm ordering things for my trip at the last minute as usual. I'm sure something will come late, as usual. I'm going to spend my free time getting myself organized and utilizing my several planners.

You know you're single when.........your vacation is spent cleaning your place from top to bottom...so far windows and tracks, dusted and treated all the wood, cleaned and waxed the floors....this is the first two days...tomorrow who knows....

I like being single. I don't have to cook if I don't want to, I don't have to clean if I don't want to, I can work 100 hours a week if I want to..... I have a freedom that I have never had before.

My kids, their ladies and the granddaughters came over on Thanksgiving for pie, cookies, treats and alcoholic beverages. I love having them all together.

And, my vacation next year will be a cruise..... by myself..... I am not going to stop doing what I love....

It is made with a rare aged Sumatra coffee and it is mixed with coffee from Latin America! It is like a party in your mouth and is my favorite holiday blend. Cake pops are a bite sized piece of cake on a stick!

I joined a meet-up group too. I made some good friends.

My littlest sister just got engaged. Need to make an engagement present and of course the one for the baby!

I am doing the same old thing every weekend, working. I am trying to get throguh it by telling me it will be worth it in the end, but honestly, I am hoping to get a two day break or so sometime this month.

So I moved back to the Twin Cities about a month ago. I figured a great way to meet other lesbians was to join a few Meetup groups in the area - now I just need to gather up the courage to go. I also signed up on a couple of dating sites, and still have yet to have a date. The first thought I have is, am I defective somehow? The women who have contacted me really haven't been my type. Sure, I would love to go out on a date, but by no means do I want to settle. Not going out with someone just for the sake of going out, you know? I'm genuine, honest, loyal, and I don't think I'm all that bad to look at. Why does this have to be so dang hard? My friends keep telling me I need to go out and actually meet people. Perhaps I should take that advice.

Congrats to all of you's who have joined meet up groups! I think it's not only the best way to network, but also a great way to meet some local women! Even if one of them doesn't catch your eye or vice versa, just remember every one has friends and perhaps one of them may be of interest to you:sunglass:
