Then I'm thinking, I'm really missing Myrtle Ave. right now - in Brooklyn calling one of my three Chinese take-out places right across the street from my apt. and them just hearing my voice, saying my first name, guessing the number for the order and reiterating "NO MSG, right"!? :flowers:

I became very close with this one woman from Malaysia during this time. Her working and living conditions while in the city, separated from her spouse and child and extended family was horrific to me. But, she stayed, getting a home for ALL of them back in Malaysia - despite all of this crap here. She went several years without seeing any of them. I was tickled when her husband finally came to visit and she wanted to introduce me to him.

I love New York. I miss it. Nothing like N.Y.C. during the the winter holidays.
