What made me smile today...
Switching out purses to one I haven't used since last year. And finding a hotel room key from Bally's that "someone" wrote Dummy on, because we kept mixing all of our keys up. I had to take a picture and send it to my roomies :) |

Waking up to some rather insistent puppies this morning put a big ole smile on my face.

Dad: What kind of snake is black and has yellow designs on it. Or he might of been brown with yellow. I don't remember I didn't stick around and talk to him.
Me: A king snake Dad: Do we have those around here? Me: Yep Dad: Well I was diggin my tomato holes and planted one tomato and went in the house to get a drink. When I came back out and bent down to plant another tomato, that damn snake came out of another empty hole I had dug right toward me and... Me: Dad ya probably scared the life outa that snake Dad: ....and I dumped a whole bucket of dirt on top of him and ran down to the shed to get the hoe. Me: Dad ya don't kill king snakes, if ya have king snakes ya don't have poison snakes. Dad: Well I cussed every word I knew and then made up some on the way to the shed and when I got back he was gone. Me: DUH! after ya dumped a bucket of dirt on him did you think he was gonna stick around and wait on ya. Mom: you better not kill my king snakes or the black snakes either Dad: Well I can't do nothin right I was tryin to plant you some tomatoes. Mom: Well plant them where there aren't any snakes Me::popcorn: I love them but I swear they wear me out........ LOL |

I did a lot of smiling for about 30 hours. Went on a road trip with an old friend. Left my town at 6:30pm Friday. Rolled into Oklahoma City at 3am. Dropped of some precious cargo, and turned around and got back home at 11:30 am. We had a blast! Lots of Redbulls, laughs,and a few tears, about old times.

Taking pictures of little interesting things on my walk around the neighborhood this morning. Of course I got the honeysuckle, as well as a few other cool things. It was about 75 and breezy and beautiful today. Awesome walk.

While posting in the what made me sad today, I remembered 2 yrs ago Nannie bought some wrinkle cream. The high dollar stuff from Belks. She used it about a month and ask Mom one Saturday, did she think it was doing any good because she was out of it and was wondering if she should buy more. LOL Remember now Nannie was 85, 2 yrs ago. I was thinking then and now if ya live to be 85 yrs old who cares if ya have wrinkles.
Actually she aged well, she didn't have much gray hair until probably the last 10 yrs and she still doesn't have much for wrinkles not to be 87 yrs old. |
