I haven't really talked to my friend Karen since we graduated high school. We recently re-connected, but we haven't been able to actually "catch up".

She does however, send me the occasional email that seems to bring a smile to my face or crack me the (#&*@ up.

computer techie humor..sort of

not sure where to post this but I ahve been cracking up all day....

background: I teach computer sceinces in an elementary school,,we got these new laser printers to save money....they break frequently..and our IT Director tells us it is our fault.

Ok last thursday the printer in my classroom stopped functioning,,this time it said error 1505....... no toner problem, no paper jams error 1505...i called the IT dept who said duh i dunno..so i talked ot the Director of It he siad look in the printer book..i told him i did..and there was no error 1505 listed....
so he drove 4 miles over to my school my classroom to see for himself...(rme)
and he read error 1505..so he calls the sharp people (name of the printer) they tell him to check again their is no error 1505....so we loose thursday no printer.....friday..we condinue the turn it off..turn it on..it stillsays error 1505, and we have another printer in the school that is flashing error 1505...........finally today at 1pm after several dozen phone calls to the sharp people...they send out a technician....to see this error that does not exist...
sure enough he reads the screen error 1505......and printer is not working no matter what. so Sharpy starts dismantling the printer to troubleshoot...
about 2 hours into this I am watching all interested and stuff... and I saw this "stink bug" that is sort of stuck to the laser drum.that is now laying on the floor..and big brave Butch that I am I say ewwww and point...and he removes it and says..nooooo that cant be it...
sure enough error 1505= stink bug.......printer works fine. technician went to next printer immediately removed the laser drum ..found a stink bug and removed it..that printer works fine.

printers 3000. repair person 1200. stink bug ......priceless
