If this situation comes up and you know that you are more prepared than some of the other members of the team, are you able to ask to fill in for them or to switch players?

LOrd I wish it was, but the team captain calls the shots, what get me was she didnt even play and she is a solid 5 and could have taken any player we played against.I did let her know I was ready to play but all I got was..an OK.Last night we played 9 ball,I was against a sl4 and im a sl2 for some reason I can figure cause ive won 8 of my last 10 games, last night I did a cake walk on two tables and my oponent never made a shot. One of the guys said it was a fuke,I told him to rack em up and threw a $50.00 on the table..today im $50.00 more to the good.

Rockinonahigh 09-30-2011 10:03 PM

Go figure!

last night we had our regular 8 ball night that started our new session. The team we played was the same team that waxed us in the finals a week ago,I didnt go cause im still dealing with sinus infection, dizzyspells ect that goes on with huge doses of antibiotics. That being said, for some unknown reason this time we beat then 4 out of 5 games...When I herd this tonight I just sat taping my chalk on the table in wonder of the whole thing.I just looked at my ladies team members, also some are on the 9 ball team. All I could think was .oh gee wizz ....hear we go a again.I know its only pool.

I've been battling a nasty headache for half of the day. I took the last of my pretty blue non-prescription and non-namebrand pills and it's still here.

Food helped.

Fluids helped.

But. It's. Still. Fucking. Here.

Two sewing machine needles breaking - both brand new; manufacturers fault in the production of them, maybe?!

Not getting the sewing done I wanted, but, there is always tomorrow!

OMG yesterday I was so pissed. Ok so my company got bought out by some investment group. And changes happened. One of which, I didnt notice was it switched banks.

So, last week, I went to the bank (Chase) and was gonna deposit my pay check. I had gotten the acct cause thats where our payroll checks were written off of. Anway the lady in the drive thru REFUSES to deposit my paycheck! due to our company stopping business with them. WTF ? Excuse me? I am a chase customer it doesnt matter, you should still deposit my paycheck and NOT refuse service to me... Ok so I drive off go back to work PISSED talk with my HR dept lady who calls the Chase customer service and they tell her the lady shouldnt have refused my check in fact she should have deposited it. So back to the bank I go with a co worker who banks with them as well this time.

Co worker tells me deposit your check and get cash back. I do the process and so does she and the process goes through from the SAME teller who just refused to deposit my check! Ok so, Im still pissed but realize that's how this is gonna have to happen from now on.

Yeterday, go back to said bank with same co worker. We only get an hour for lunch pull up to drive thru we both request cash back and deposit the rest. A different teller this time gives her, her paycheck AND cash back but refuses me AGAIN. This time Im resdy for it, so I tell her , um HELL NO. Yall tried this last week refusing to deposit cause of my company no longer doing business with yall I am a customer and you just depoited and gave cash back to my co worker beside me you WILL do it for me. We both have the same type of accts, and we both work for the same company. They literally kept us in line for 45 minutes, when I got my check deposited and cash back. Then, since lunch is almost over and we havent eaten lunch we head back to work when my co worker tells me she didnt make the rest of my check available to me til Wednesday 10/12. Not even a partial is available and my co worker's whole check is available immediately...

Still pissed and am withdrawing my funds when they clear and moving to another bank.

After being treated this way by one of the big 6, why don't you join a credit union?

I am. The new investment group that bought my company out has some things in the works here locally in Arlington with a credit union. Right now the current credit union is based in Dallas almost a 45 min drive to the nearest one. So that's why I didnt choose the credit union first. I just chose a bank that our checks were drawn off of. So, I am looking forward to things working out with a credit union. :) Thanks for the info!

For those that asked, no I didn't try caffeine. That wasn't the issue(s).

I had not had solid food for most of the day, my fluids were down because I wasn't drinking as much in order to avoid having to use the portapotty along with a dozen construction guys, I had mondo stress from several aspects of the office move going wrong, and my hair was pulled back waaay too tight that day.

I was doomed from the beginning.

Luckily, I am NOT pissed today.

Warning...ranting to commence now:

Ok...so my son's father is remarried and has a daughter (my son's half-sister). She is 8 years old. A few months ago, she got a kitten from a family member...and the kitten is just adorable! (a little halloween kitten...all black with orange eyes). So anyway, my ex's wife started to develop allergies and asked me if I would watch the kitten until they bought their new house (the idea being that with a large house, her allergies might not act up so much). Of course, I said yes. The first few days the kitten was here, she was skittish as hell. Would not let anyone pick her up for more than a minute, and squirmed to get down the whole time. She spent most of the day running and hiding, which is normal...new place...other animals and all, so I didn't think much of it. After about two days...she completely settled down and became a velcro cat...loves being held, purrs constantly, etc... Yesterday, my son's dad called and asked if he could bring his daughter over to visit her cat. When she got here, the kitten reverted to her old habits...and I saw why. The kid treats her like a toy not a living thing!! And her father does NOT correct her! I am not one to interfere with the way someone handles their own child...but I couldn't help myself this time! The way she tries to pick the poor kitten up and the way she holds her is horrible...and when the kitten tries to get away from her...she chases it until she has it trapped and then grabs it again.

So, now...I don't want to give the kitten back to them..whenever it is they get their house. I can't deal with the fact that she is basically abusing this kitten and no one seems to care...or at least doesn't care enough to correct her or explain to her that a kitten is not a stuffed animal. I know it's going to cause a problem when I tell them that I want to keep the cat...but I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I gave the kitten back and it got hurt!

Sigh...ok...venting over...carry on.

OMG always2late... i wouldn't want to let them have the cat either!

I am going to campaign to keep the kitten. I will not give her back without a fight and I will tell them the reason why I am keeping her. I can't, in good conscience, send an animal back to a situation where I know they will be mistreated.

today's rant

What's the point of making students register for classes online when the school obviously can never get the online registration working for more than an hour or two at a time. I went through the whole process, got to the final screen and got an error. Apparently, this is a glitch that only the advisors can override. Unfortunately, since the head of the human services dept IS my advisor (since she's so damn arrogant she not only does all human services advising, heads the dept, but also will not allow anyone but herself to even TEACH a class related to human services) I have to wait until the very end of the month to get an appt with her instead of being able to go RIGHT NOW to any of the other regular advisors who are available at any time. In other words, suck ass classes again this semester because the ones I want/need will be gone by the time I get registered. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Have a new health insurance company since old health insurance company got out of the business since the new regulations came out.

So dumb ass me never gave it a second thought and called in my meds for refills yesterday....it is turning into a 2 day hell of phone calls and back and forth for pre-approval of meds I have been on for years and I am not sure when I will get them...today being a holiday and all.

Of course I am completely out and already aching all over.

I am pissed at myself, my old insurance co, my new insurance co and kinda want to scream a bit every time I stand up.
