My Girlfriends Boyfriend - Alyssa Milano

Jesse finds one guy who is Mr Right, and another who is Mr. Perfect. Or did she? Sweet romantic film with a plot twist I didnt see coming.

Weapons of Self Destruction - Robin Williams live in DC.

Man still gives new meaning to still crazy after all these years. Brilliant but nuts. His Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin stuff had me rolling on the floor.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo---excellent movie!!!

Night at the Opera - I like Duck Soup better, but anything with the Marx Brothers is great fun!

Alurra 12-31-2011 12:42 PM

The Muppets. Was like visiting with old friends.

Sherlock Holmes. Didn't like it as well as the first one. Had to many guns and shoot-em-up scenes and not enough Sherlock deducing scenes.

the help ....it was amazing!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

"Did I ever tell you I was struck by lightning seven times?" Mr. Daws.

"Cowboys and Aliens"

I really thought the title was a euphemism. Silly me. Silly movie.

"Dad's in Heaven With Nixon"

Billed as a documentary about a man born in the 60's with neurological damage who is later diagnosed as autistic, and his mother's quest to do everything she could to unlock all his potential. The film was made by his older brother.

However, it seemed like more of an attempt to have a cathartic experience by reviewing generations of dysfunctional family dynamics colored by undiagnosed and untreated substance abuse and mental illness.

Just watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead a documentary on 2 men who changed their lives by changing their diets.

I may give it a try Myself.

I really thought the same thing about "Snakes on a Plane." It HAD to be a metaphor for something important, right? Uh, no.

i watched the remake of the girl with the dragon tattoo....it was good...i'd still take the original if i had to choose...but the remake did have some good strong points...

Margin Call

With an all star cast, including Demi Moore, Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Stanley Tucci etc, I expected more. But, I suspect it was a pretty accurate portrayal of how damage control is/was done on Wall Street. Very different, emotionally stifled, values barren kind of thing.

Detective Dee
It is sort of a cross between Sherlock Holmes and House of Flying Daggers.
It was good, visually interesting and I am a sucker for ninjas

"Chasing Amy"...I love Jay and Silent Bob! :pirate-steer:

foxyshaman 01-02-2012 09:41 PM

Source Code - did not like it. Could not hold my attention.

War Horse - typical Spielberg, happy ending and whatnot. Not a huge Spielberg fan. Fantastically trained horses. Enjoyed it

Sucker Punch - Loved it. Can see why it was panned by the critics. Give me a movie with strong kick ass women lead roles...

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - different aspects from the Swedish version, I preferred the original. They made Lisbeth a more "likeable" character. Overall I can not find fault with it.

Son and I watched "Jurassic Park: The Lost World" couple of nights ago. My boy really liked it even though he JUMPED outta the recliner at one point lol

Fire in the Sky

Watched "Fire in the sky" on netflix last night. I never saw it before. I kept waiting for James Garner to reveal the hoax and he never did so....

today, I had to research the so-called true story on google.
