one thing

when my father was in the hosp. my mom wanted his jewellery so it would not get "lost". He handed me his watch, wedding ring and initial ring (same initial as mine). I gave my mom his wedding ring (which she gave to my brother). I have his watch and ring and wear his ring often. My father passed away 3 days later and my mom 5 years later. I have my moms wedding ring as well. (which I hope to give some lady some day). I have many things belong to them but that ring is the last thing my father put in my hand before going into a coma and passing. It is my prized possession that keeps him close to me.

I don't know whether to post in the femme zone (because I don't feel femme) but I can't post in the butch zone 'cause I know I'm not butch. But I guess that's not the sort of thing for this thread?

Another thing... I have a Master's degree that I have never used.. Not very proud of that one TBH :)

One thing

I have a thing for keys. To the point where I have done research on them. Whether skeleton, winding keys.. just any type. I am fascinated by them. I just received in the mail today two necklaces I ordered off from Etsy that are steampunk themed- one is a skeleton key and the other is a winding key that you would use for a pocket watch.

I had an addiction to sixties cars. I owned 9.

Many years ago I extensively studied the anatomy of the back and massage on my own and considered an occupation as a chiropractor. I abandoned pre-med when I found my true passion in working with persons with disability.

I do not have cable or satellite tv. I refuse to pay extreme amounts so businesses can shove commercials into my life. I have hulu and netflix, no commercials.

Winter is my favorite season. I love big snowflakes.

For some reason I just loathe the website Rotten Tomatoes!

I have no clue why, but it just rubs me the wrong way for some damn reason..:movieguy:

When I get an oil change or anything done to my vehicle, I feel like I am driving a brand new vehicle. Something just feels better about it.

I don't know if it's because I'm obsessive/compulsive, but I keep a very close eye on my gas tank in my car. If it drops below half a tank I panic and rush to the filling station to filler up!

Contradictor 05-11-2017 11:10 AM

Not a fan of TV either. I'll waste hours on the Internet though :)

Soft*Silver 05-11-2017 11:56 AM

I eat sandwiches with no dressings of any kind. Cheese sandwich? two slices of bread and a slice of cheese. Ham and cheese? A slice of ham, a slice of cheese, 2 pieces of bread. No extras.

hamburgers are different....they go on buns therefore they are not sandwiches. I put ketchup on those..if I eat them with a bun. Often, I just eat the burger

I have been told that I can be intimidating and I find that rather amusing when actually I am a softy, however I do tend to keep distance a learned thing.

girl_dee 05-11-2017 03:48 PM

i will never be able to eat meatballs again, without thinking of a little someone i knew once

I am exactly the same way. I figure if we ever have an earthquake or zombie apocalypse, the first that will happen is that there will be long lines. I remember the oil embargo of 1973 when the gas lines were horribly long and gas stations ran out of gas.

Yes. That old.
