Just got a text from R and she said the surgery for biopsy went well.No definite answers yet, but her surgeon says it looks like Hodgkins. If caught in time, the doc said it's curable. I personally haven't done enough research on it to understand what caught in time really means.

The common cold seems so uncommon when my head becomes a soggy wet roll of tissue and my throat is cactus lined as my lungs express their desire to expand. Home alone with a nasty nasty cold: having tea with honey, cinnamon toast, Ibuprufen, and using that gross Nettimed thing and squirting that water up my nose so I can breathe. I have slept for 3 days.Too sick to care, to sick to go to work. My head exploded into several galaxies during the night, so I guess, I feel better. Is 4 days too long to wait to get better, or time to go to a doctor.? What would a doctor do that cinnamon toast can't take care of. |

Today my candles are still burning from days gone by. I thank each of you who light candles for me on my behalf. I greatly appreciate it. And I have a sense that God does hear our prayers and does see the candles burning ever so bright. Rosie has shared with me something from FB that read "God understands our prayers even when we can't find the words to say them." That about sums up where I am at. |

Today I come here and selfishly ask for prayers for myself
I've been having a rough couple of days I'm feeling defeated when it comes to finding work It's really playing on my mental health Where I used to be strong and confident I feel myself letting tears flow a lot lately I still have my faith and belief in God I worry for my cats if I don't find something soon I have a deadline of Jan 1st Even if I get work, I don't think I'll afford a place by then Really looking for miracles here or a fairy godmother |

I want to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts and well wishes for little Ivan. :):frog:
I took Ivan to the veterinarian's office and he has a case of intestinal parasites. I guess frogs, even ones bred and raised in captivity, can tend to get a wide assortment of nematodes, protozoans, and trimatodes in their intestines. Anyway, it is treatable and I have a worming medication and an antibiotic for Ivan that should do the trick to get rid of the problem. The only hitch is that I have to get a small tuberculin syringe into his mouth to dispense about 1/10th of a cc of medicine. I have to do this for 5 days running and I have the other medication to put in his mouth every 2 weeks for 6 weeks. This should get rid of the worms. I never thought I'd be worming a frog. :| Ivan should soon be on the mend and back to singing for crickets....and Myra. :winky::awww::frog: ~Theo~ :bouquet: |

For those out there that sent me good wishes and chicken soup thoughts. Thanks Starbuck. She actually did do something for me. Gave me a prescription for meds. The chest cough improved over night. The OTC's I was taking for 3 days weren't touching it. Now , just a matter of letting it run it's course and not turn into pneumonia. Also got a flu shot, and a note not to return to work till next week. :moonstars: |

Today I ask for candles to be lit for a friend of Mine who passed away yesterday. Police found her dead in her apartment yesterday morning and are still investigating the cause of her death. I wasn't terribly close to her but I still am shocked and saddened by this tragedy. One of My best friends was closer to her and is terribly shaken up by this (as are many of us who knew her). Please keep her as well as us in your thoughts & prayers today thank you
