• I once got a concussion (playing rugby) so bad, that I “woke up” twenty minutes later not knowing where I was, who I was, or even knowing what my personality was like. I have to say that this was the scariest moment of my life.
• I still don’t have much memory from that day, only snippets that have no order to them. However, one snippet of memory was of me being half out of my body and being able to see myself on the field right after the hit, and knowing that if I got up and tried to continue playing that I would die. Apparently, I just got up and wandered the field for a bit. (no memory of that) • I can chug a beer FAST. In my twenties, I would go out with my friends and they’d find the biggest, most macho guy in the bar and bet them $20 that they couldn’t beat me. One night, I made $120 bucks, and I never lost a race. I also knew when to quit, lol. • When I was little, I’d sneak into my parents bathroom and put my Dad’s shaving cream on my face in the shape of a beard and mustache. Then I would pretend to shave it off. I thought I looked so much better with a (white foamy) mustache and goatee. • Apparently I tried it with ice cream too. http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l9...0q29o1_500.jpg |

Deeply touched at her sense of self. |

1.) My closest friends are the most important poeple in my life...the only way to understand is to become one
2.) I rarely answer calls/txt from Anyone if I am spending time with someone in person...it's a respect thing...but I always reply when that time is over 3.) I am for the most part a true Pisces...and more sensitive than the average bear... 4.) I am very good at learning the hard way...and have the scars to prove it :) 5.) My next lover will become my friend first...(harder than it sounds)...and hopefully will be my One and Only for the rest of my days |
The body music connection
1. I almost always tear up during movie previews, the loud swelling dramatic music does it to me every time. This embarrasses and irritates me. This especially embarrasses and irritates me when the music is to something stupid like a an animated movie about guinea pigs or some pedestrian cookie cutter action adventure preview.
2 I can feel music in my body, physically. Back in my wild youth I went to raves, I used to love going up to the the HUGE speakers and pressing against them with my heels, pelvis, spine, shoulder blades, elbows and head so that the bass would vibrate through my skeleton. It felt like I was getting a massage. Also, I feel organ music in the soles of my feet and my aorta. 3. For as much as I LOVE loud bass driven music to dance to and to wash through my body I cannot stand loud noises and loud places- it hurts me. Fortunately I am mostly deaf in one ear and this saves me from being bothered more than I already am. I am grateful for the muting it provides. 4. I see pictures, shapes and colors when I hear music. 5. I have what can best be described as dancegasms. When my movement the music and my mind all come together into a sensual enthusiastic euphoria that makes me feel enlightened and captured utterly in the moment of sensual bliss. |
I have an incredibly intense involuntary reaction to a mouth on my feet, specifically my toes.
I really hate circus peanuts but my mother loved them so I have a sacred memory bank related to them...and smile everytime I hear about Gemme and her cravings... I miss being able to ride a back. With my health issues, I havent been able to ride a bike for years. However recently I saw a three wheel bike and think I might be able to handle it! I want a simple every day pearl necklace. And yes, I would wear it every day. I love slow dancing and next partner, I want to make sure we get a chance to go dancing often. I hate other forms of dancing but oh, can there be anything so simple yet so intimate publicly one couple can do? |
Ode to circus peanuts

I do love the crack that is circus peanuts. :| I'm craving them at this very minute, actually. *sigh* Four of them are 140 calories. I eat a bag at a time. :| If they made circus peanut cake, I'd be doomed. |

Dont be mean to waxnrope Gemme! I had your lecture, don't make me post elephant pictures again, lmao |
I think my chihuahua is making me soft in my later years, I am getting a sense of fashion in the dog world...
I don't like hospitals very much, but seem to frequent them a lot lately... I really am having second thoughts about my career, but I am getting to old to make a drastic change... I used to blame my dyslexia on everything, now I am not ashamed to say I am just blind as a bat, and I hate wearing glasses cause I put them down somewhere and can't find them cause I can't see them... If I got to start life all over again at any age I choose, It would still be about this age now. Life is so much more enjoyable in your half way mark. |

5 Things:
* I have a serious love of libraries. Almost a sick obsession. I like the way they smell. I like the way they make me feel. I like the used pages. Going to the library makes me supremely happy. * I love cold eggrolls or cold pizza for breakfast! * I think the "Wheels on the bus go round and round" song is CREEPY! * I want some cheese. * Fall is my favorite time of the year. |

For years when I was a child, we'd go out to Pizza Hut on Friday and I'd get Mountain Dew with my pizza. We'd take the leftover pizza and soda home and I'd have it cold on the floor while watching cartoons the next morning. A favorite memory! Quote:
Start? :eyebat: I haven't begun yet. :4femme: I'm gonna pick on you LOTS now! Quote:

He touched my hand, finally I understand.
1- I am currently quite obsessed with birds. Particularly doves.
2- I love tacky girlie things. Lke rings out of coin machines, flowers stuffed in bicycle baskets, and painting hearts on everything. 3- Hands are my favorite part of the human anatomy. I love drawing, painting and deconstructing hands. 4- I collect music boxes. The older and more fragile the better. I carry around a little music box made out of a matchstick box in my purse. 5- I am grossed out by bar soap. Do you know how many germs and the bacteria those things collect? |

circus peanut pumpkins... :)
Ingredients Circus peanuts Green gumdrops Granulated sugar Skewer or toothpick Instructions For each pumpkin, cut one circus peanut in half. Cut a small piece from a green gumdrop and trim away the sugar coating so you have a dot of the sticky inside. Use this piece as glue to stick the two halves of the peanut together, bottom to bottom. Roll the pumpkin in the palms of your hands to make it round. Press lightly; you don't want to compress the candy too much. Use a skewer or toothpick to poke a hole in the top of the pumpkin and draw lines down the sides. Cut another small piece from the green gumdrop and roll it in granulated sugar, molding it into a slightly conical stem shape with your fingers. Insert the stem into the hole on the top of the pumpkin. |

You and June were talking about them in here...there is not a cake recipe but for sure appropriate for the next 2 holidays... :fallenangel: One of the 5 things to know about me...I am a secret evil-doer... :) |
I wrote a short children's book called Wilbur Wonders Why about a turtle
My favorite drink is a vodka gimlet I hate frosting I designed T-shirts and sent them to Pope John Paul II Saints fascinate me |
*Laughing* NOT One of my five...but, since I make the most amazing home-made icing EVER, I am appalled that anyone could not like frosting - especially since you can do so many fun things with it!! *G* ;) (also! I am dying to know what was on the t-shirts!!!!)
My five.. I LOVE nature. Just being surrounded by all things nature fills my soul. I am a photographer..at least in my own mind. My works may never be published, but they will always be on display in my own home :) I cry too easily for others. My memory sucks. I see life as an opportunity to have fun and to grow. I pretty much think if you are doing both of those things, then you have a perfect balance!! |
Oh, the trouble one can get in when insomnia hits...
5 Things No One would Know About You From BFP Alone:
On each and every vacation I have been on I try and locate some gardens or parks that have a reflecting pool. I am mesmerized by them. I could sit beside one for hours and simply comtemplate so many things in my head. My dream job has always been to be an orchestra conductor. I abhor irresponsible pet owners. I sometimes stop by one of the old, beautiful churches downtown and quietly sit in the sanctuary and pray. When my 29 year old daughter comes to me about some of her problems...after listening to her litany of valid issues and I begin to speak - she looks me square in the eyes and states..."I don't need any of your social worker bullshit either, Mom. Just be my Mom." She laughs but sometimes it hurts my heart. |
1.I have a secret wish; to ride to take a long ride on the back of a Harley with a talented Butch driver!
2. I also love cold pizza for breakfast. 3. Love to hang out in libraries too. 4. We older women do not loose are ability to enjoy and participate fully in sex! 5. I would love to mentor children from minority groups in reading and art. |
5tnowkamfbfpa...
this is a provocative topic... it seems like i share lots of intimate details here... from clit size to favorite candy... but... i admit that it gives me pause to think of what things wouldnt be known about me from here alone...
so... like anything that makes me sorta uncomfortable... i have to kick it in the ass... here goes nothing... surface things...
|
1. There isn't a day that passes that I don't think about my job and how I could be happier while still earning a livable wage.
2. My anger at the fact that social workers are considered selfish because they want to help people *and* make a decent income is rising to the level of political. 3. I'm getting married to my sweetheart in about a year, and the planning of our big celebration has captured my imagination. 4. Something about my house makes me want to just cuddle into my comfy chair in front of the fireplace and put off...everything. 5. I love cudding and stuff, but please don't tickle me. I can't be responsible for what I might do if there are any sharp objects within reach. |
This round I am playing for keeps. Follow me into the sea.
- I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My dream was to live on Balzac's steps and write what I saw. - I have 2 little boys in my life that I would do absolutely anything for. And they don't even belong to me. - I ran away to Mexico before I turned 18 with a boy from my school. I convinced him to marry me so we could get away. - I make amazing coffee. - I smell better than sex. |

The T-shirts were parodies on Catholocism. I received a letter from the pontiff's office thanking me for the gifts. They are in the Vatican archives. |

Libraries are like language sanctuaries; so quiet and pristine and untouched by vandalism and the ickiness of humanity. I've given up my cold pizza days though. These days, it is a rarity that any pizza remains after dinner and the evening snack. I could have fun with teaching the young ones to read. Art's not my forte, but I do love it. Trips to art museums are favorites for me. My honey laughs at me cuz even when we're laying around the apartment, I match. We place different value on being matchy matchy. |
5 things 80's edition
In the 1980's aka swingin' like a pendulum
I played in an orchestra, sang choirs and was in a punk band called "The Ultra Violet Catastrophe" I had hair down to my ass, literally and I got a Mohawk I was painfully shy, when I was playing music I could hide behind it and be brave. I dressed rather preppily and sported a Mohawk and or liberty spikes I was deeply closeted and I was "known" by my first butch |

How very cool about the t-shirts!!! I love the entire idea of that!!! |
I think there needs to be a 12 step meeting for people involved with people who qualify for Al Anon but wont go....and I dont mean AA!
I am about to get politically active in my hometown, all over a cat sanctuary that another sanctuary tried to close down..took all their 80+ cats...and euthenized 64 of them...because they had colds. All because the new shelter was getting the donations they use to get. Yes. And I and a few friends are going to do something about it now that the trial is over. I still havent unpacked all my boxes from moving. My garage is full of stuff that needs to come in the house. I feel very unmotivated to do a damn thing about it... I spent alot of time over the past week online dealing with a mother whose son committed suicide 8 years ago. They squabbled the last time she saw him and she is convinced she made him do it. Sometimes having a brother who committed suicide comes in handy. I have made myself a niche into the theater community without having done a single play. I have become friends with one of the evaluators of the local stage productions, whose score helps determine the annual awards. I have opportunities now to go out and see and do things! |
1. I applied to be a blogger on a gay wedding and engagement blog site. I hope they pick me.
2. I can't get enough of the baking and cooking competitions on Food Network. Watching them bake spooky gingerbread cakes now. Cute dykes, too. 3. I love freecycle. Just gave away a vampire costume that we got on sale, but it didn't fit my daughter. Rather than return it for the 8 bucks, it was great to give it to someone who could use it. 4. Watching baking shows makes me want cake. Icing is OK, but not the heavy, sickly sweet kind. 5. I prefer lemon and lime flavors over chocolate anything. |
1 I love my mom dearest of anyone in this world besides my husbutch, but I feel safest with her when we are on the phone (instead of in person)
2 My favorite bagels are onion, everything, blueberry, garlic, sesame, and raisin. For toppings I enjoy honey walnut cream cheese, chive cream cheese, a pizza style bagel, butter, and hummus. I've been known to butter a bagel and then spread cream cheese on it (but don't tell anyone). 3 My brother and I are both gay submissives. We are my parents' only children. We each live in one-bedroom apartments in NYC with our mates, work as therapists, and share our friends. He is three years younger than me and married to a man from South Africa. 4 I had great fun helping a teacher friend of mine at work compose the following text message to one of our co-workers this weekend: "I never answered your question last night. I can tell you what I don't want. I don't want a boyfriend and i don't need a husband and I don't want a baby and I certainly don't want drama. I like being your flirty friend but I certainly would not say no to a booty call or fwb." 5 At the femme clothing swap this year I found a few items that helped bring out the Medusa in me (because they used to be hers). I would never have known to seek them out on my own. I feel like she opened up a new style to me, making me feel sexy and fierce! |
