This afternoon
I went to my Chinese school. The kids were in the "hall" for recess and started waving madly at me as soon as I got out of my car. Then getting to the teachers room was like running a gauntlet of paparazzi :) "Hello teacher!" "Hello Miss M" "Good afternoon teacher!". Darlings :stillheart:
Then in class with one of my teachers made the kids laugh (not so difficult really) and taught them "ewwwww yucky" - pretending to wipe my sweat off on one of the kids. PRETENDING! :huhlaugh: |

I FINALLY went for happy hour with people from work....it was actually planned by one of the female engineers in order to get together with all the women on our floor. I went so I could try to make some friends in a more laid back atmosphere, and I am so glad I went!! Oh, to be around a bunch of enginerds (I mean that term in a very VERY positive way!!) was fabulous!!
We laughed and talked about the office and how things are going in each department, and what we do with our free time. They are all readers....whereas I mentioned I love to build things and tinker in my garage. It was cool to finally make some friends that I will see in the office every day...and we will meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month. I am still smiling! |

Her: "Didn't T(*y tell you when you interviewed with him that you had the job?" Me: "No. He said he would get with you and compare notes and let me know." Her: "I'm going to kill him." So :D YAY I got the part-time Sbux shift supervisor job!!!!!!!!! |
