Henri squeezed me in for a fast trim today and now my hair looks effing fantastic.
An old flame (whom I care about very very much)-- appears to be moving on, and I'm really pleased for that. She deserves it. I taught my 8yo mancub how to play chess last night. We played for an hour last night and it's the first thing he wanted to do this morning. I really appreciate how he's not stressed about losing to me but instead delights in surprising me with this strategies and moves. He's such good company. I also taught him how to operate the dryer. That's going well too. |

Being picked up for a wonderful day out
Going to the HUGE farmer's market being introduced to friends of a friend that welcomed and greeted me very warmly, and gave me an open invitation buying special treats at the market that are hard to come by getting treated to a very yummy early dinner at a fantastic seafood place (if you're not a local, you wouldn't know this place) then getting wisked off to watch a movie Coldstone creamery and my FAVORITE butter pecan ice cream watching my companion and friend smile and laugh...watching that smile reach their eyes sharing fond memories and making new ones feeling safe and respected enjoying our conversations and how open and honest they are positive wishful thinking... yeah...the day and company where 'all that and a :cherry: on top!' |
I was on my way to a party last night, and I stopped at a gas station/convenience store to go to the bathroom.
In the bathroom, there was a wall holder for where the mirror should have been, which was missing. Instead, the employees had taped up a sign that said, "You Look Great!" I thought it was hilarious. |
I woke up smiling just thinking about my life and how amazingly blessed I am and that I am so very grateful for that.

My beautiful bowl of fruit made me smile today.
When I opened the front door a breeze rushed in and the birds were loud and that made me smile. I checked my email and that made me smile, too. |

- finishing the last very long work day of many in a row, and being officially 'on vacation' now for over a month! - finalizing my suitcase packing, ensuring i have everything and being sooooo, soooooo ready to fly to Oregon on Tuesday! (2 SLEEPS!) On my way home to You Daddy!! - a lovely lunch , on a sunshiney afternoon and a conversation with two residents who shared many, many stories..i so enjoyed that time with them.. - seeing my college student ID in my wallet each time i open it up, and feeling such a sense of pride & happiness.. - growth in these two teenagers, some really amazing growth in fact. They make me proud every single day, and i love the kind-hearted beings they are. In fact, they're becoming responsible, loving young adults.. And it warms my soul to know that the minute they have anything wonderful going on, they instantly want to tell Mtn before anyone else.. They have such a love & respect for Him, and such an acceptance and warmth for Us as a couple.. Knowing momma is happy and very well loved, ♥ - Have i mentioned 2 sleeps ?????? :flying: |

I run a group that raises money to rescue horses from auctions where meat buyers attend. This time, we went straight to the meat lot, where some were there already, waiting to go to Canada for slaughter. We picked one to save, rallied for funds and got her pulled from the lot!
the best part...she is in her 20s and is going to be the first horse for a 6 year old boy. He broke open his piggy bank to add to the fund... my smile is huge tonight! |
- i am on my way sooooooon to the airport.. in 2 hours, i will be leaving this house, and Oregon bound to be home with my Daddy.. i'm such an excited girl!
i promised Him that i would behave, no incidents of me being parachuted from the plane from chattering my seat neighbours to tears, LOL. :flying: - Had a nice long bubble bath to calm my excitedness a lil (didn't help) and now i'm eating breakfast and staring that dang clock down, tapping my feet, heh.. - off to double check & triple check my lists, and iron my clothes.. Long day of travelling ahead.. So, so, SOOO exciiiited!! |
