Drinking water.

There was an alert this morning from the police department and city hall telling my city not to drink the water. An amoeba that eats the brain was detected. Restaurants were told not to open. I didn't know how long it was going to last.
It was lifted a few hours later.

I got the fur babies some wet food, some hygiene products for myself, some cleaning supplies and some groceries.

I did buy a few groceries, but I also needed to buy a cordless drill: So I can rectify a drill-job from last year, when my sil's husband put up the curtain rod in the front window of my studio.

I got a good deal on it, at Lowes. Black & Decker, cordless drill, for small home projects. Plus, bonus!, it came with a 2-year warranty, which only cost an extra $6 bucks. All, for under $30 bucks. :cheer:

The drill came with drill bits, an assortment of screws and dry-wall thingy's, so you can screw in a screw into dry-wall materials. Which is exactly what I need to do.

Apparently, I just bought 3 pieces of artwork. Free shipping guarantees that they will come, one a week, for three weeks.

Half a dozen medium sized glazed pots for the front courtyard.:wateringgarden:

Groceries. I realized that a bunch of my coupons for my salads expires today and I didn't have any in the fridge so off I went. I wound up getting $60 worth of groceries and of that, only $15 were the 7 bags of salad.

4 massive snow shovels and 3 extra long car snow brushes.

There's no way this is going to be a "mild" winter in Eastern Canada's "snow belt".

You may as well take heed too, all you folks in the Northern Eastern USA.
You can never be too prepared for the "Climate Change" and that doesn't mean Minnesota will feel like the Tropics.

Week long spending spree, replacing sprinkler systems from both 20 and 40 years ago. Every time I turnaround the project gets bigger, pretty much expected.

What great fun! :superfunny:

Gemme 10-02-2020 08:42 PM

Some groceries, bathroom supplies and cat food. Oh, and a duster for the blinds.

Bèsame* 10-03-2020 12:18 PM

Well, I have no idea how this happened. I came home with the cutest dishes. All white with starfish and seashells around the rim. 4 dinner plates, 4 smaller (dessert size) and 4 smaller bowls.

And I think they all jumped in because my wallet said..what a great deal! Amazon was no where in sight..lol

And I just found them on line, @$9.99 per plate. Well, I only paid $2.99

Gemme 10-15-2020 09:01 PM

They are cute!

Today I paid bills and bought groceries. I also received some of the things I bought the past couple days for Prime Days. I put together Loki's new elevated feeding station and he's happy with it. No more neck and back strain for my big boy!

More plant pots for my courtyard project, I have never had a yard where I used a lot of containers before. It’s sort of $hockingly expensive and I still have to buy plants!

SO expensive indeed!

I've picked up several containers reasonable priced at Good Will Stores, Habitat, and yard/rummage sales...:wateringgarden:

A rack of beef ribs I’m bbqing tonight.

Gemme 10-16-2020 09:00 PM

A new litter mat. My other one is packed up somewhere and I'm tired of sweeping up litter day and night. I also bought some salads, guac, bread, naan, frozen fries and a pizza for dinner. I also paid a bill.

C0LLETTE 10-16-2020 10:54 PM

a real "paper" newspaper...a life-long pleasure.

Kelt 10-17-2020 01:24 PM

1 ton “Arizona River Rock”
1 ton Stepping stones
I’m sure the semi fragile steep hillside won’t mind an extra couple tons of weight on the very edge. :|
