"son of noone". (good as film)
"cat run" (eh, good but a bit too violent fo' mah taste) "the invention of lying" (a most excellent film!) |
The Grey
Liam Neeson knocked it outa the park. If I could go the rest of my life without hearing a wolf howl it would be too soon. |
2 Great Flicks
"Seperation" - I loved it and recommend if you are *into* foreign films..
"The American" - Clooney is hawt and the scenery is AMAZING! |
I watched a movie from 1999 called "Music of the Heart"
which is based on a true story about a violinist and single mother who struggles to convince the administration at an East Harlem high school to let her establish a music program. |
Teddy and I watched the "change-up" the other night. We laughed our collective arses off....although the premise is old and tired, (switching bodies/lives) it was just beyond funny...

I loved the movie and watching it with you. I laughed so hard and really needed it. I loved trying to watch cowboys and aliens with you also. I know it got boring and hopefully we can watch another movie soon. |
I watched Battleship last night with ONLY and her son. It was a pretty good action flick PLUS it had aliens in it. :) I rather enjoyed it. I think we all did. :)
|
Hannah Free - Sharon Gless is fun in this movie. Not high quality film but one of the sweetest movies I've seen in a while. :)
|
Rented from the Redbox last night "The Cabin In The Woods" do not waste the $1.20....this has to be the worse movie I have seen in a long while
|
House at the End of the Street:seeingstars:
|
A very old movie staring Mel Gibson Called: TIM http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...xL._SX500_.jpg |
Documentary called "The Aggressives". Several years old, about lesbians, transgendered and self-identified studs and aggressives in NYC.
Worth watching. On Hulu and I believe Netflix, too. |
The Devil Inside...with Fernanda Andrade and Simon Quarterman
Cabin in the Woods...I liked it because it was different not your usual horror flick and it tied a lot of classics together in my opinion watching The Devil's Rejects now on IFC...if you like Rob Zombie I recommend this one if you do NOT like graphic violence it may not be for you Oh and to show I have a varied taste watched the Color Purple and Driving Miss Daisy this past weekend again... |
Thriller/Mystery
I watched "The Tall Man" last night, I liked it, it wasn't what I expected, which made me like it even more.
|
Fried Green Tomatoes 1991 just love this movie even though I know it by heart
|

The Proposition 2005 Guy Pearce, Ray Winstone
Australian Western loved it the scenery and story line was just wow as well as the detail paid to it... It is set in the 1800s and is about outback justice...yes it is violent and moody but well done in my opinion |
The Hobbit!! I CAN'T wait!
Watched both Sherlock Holmes movies, I'm not a fan of RDJr, I find Watson more entertaining...
|
I just watched Godzilla 2000,Godzilla vs Space Godzilla...love those cheesy movies.
|

Tower Heist... Ben Still & Eddie Murphy {{Had quite a few laughs, enjoyed how the Plot progressed.The very end could've been better, but cant look a gift horse in the mouth, I guess}}
Get the Gringo... Mel Gibson {{The title was a big turn-off, glad I gave it a chance...a bit of everything w/o overplaying it..Comedy, Action, a lil bit of corny drama...Gibson's character reminded me a little of Riggs from the Lethal Weapon movies, but on the wrong side of the fence...pretty good, better on blu-ray}} btw, Jude Law was hella better than RDJr, after all he *is* british....to my understanding, Watson generally is the more credible detective, rather than a sidekick to be mocked.... |
Melancholia.
and while it was beautiful to watch I didn't love it. |
Transylvania Hotel...just went today with my son....Adam Sandler is awesome as always. Cute movie, good "adult" chuckles.
|
Kinky Boots....2005...was actually surprisingly good made me laugh and that is hard to do...it is about how a Drag queen helped an uptight English man save his family business and the town by launching fetish footwear
I watched it on my cable but I am sure you might be able to find it on Netflix or something... |
Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
Hands down one of the best movies I've ever seen :) |
Last 2
Bathory Toothfairy2 |
Brave, with my 6yo baby butch granddaughter. Alas, the last grownup movie that I saw in the theater was... maybe Burlesque? I need to get out more! I may be going with friends to some of the shows at the local Indy film fest next month, so I'm looking forward to that!
|
LOL ok this is the second horrid movie in a row my sister has gotten from the redbox and forced me to watch. It's called "The Letter" and has Winona Ryder in it...I can't even focus on this horrid acting long enough to figure out what is going on. My advice save your $1.20 and buy some gum or something
|
Case 39, 2010 Renee Zellweger, Directed by Christian Alvart
This is an excellent supernatural thriller |

Certainly original...I did enjoy it, but I'm still like...WTF?? |
Hotel Transylvania
was a good kid flick and not sure it was worth the 10.00 ticket but i did have a nice time! |
Jiro dreams of Sushi.
Fantastic watch. |
Prometheus.
Was so looking forward to it and am so disappointed in it:( I liked the trailers so much more. |
Scoobs House of Cheesy Horror Film Festival - Featured Movie - Grave Encounters
Two thumbs up for cheesy horror (where would we be without it) and a notch below Paranormal Activity...all of them. I can't wait to watch Grave Encounters 2 **chuckling** |
Chefhmboyrd and I went to see Frankenweiner this weekend to celebrate his finishing school.
We went friday night, but ten minutes into the movie the fire alarms went off. We were told to go home and come back the next day and they would either refund our money or let us see the movie. We saw the movie. We were going to do a "double feature" but the Vanderbuilt police had the theater armed and secured all around, so we couldn't sneak across the concessions to the other side of the theater. Sigh. Life after Batman. I got to eat at Applebee's two nights in a row! (Mmmmm, bacon cheeseburger.) |
Battleship
umm.. cheezy, loud, intense: intensity level = all i could think about was wanting to make out hard and heavy and fierce during and afterwards. |
{{Body*Shot, whaa...Rihanna turned u on That much, huh? hehe}}
Steel Magnolia Not quite the same as you're thinking...try 2012 version This one has Queen Latifah as M'Lynn, Alfre Woodard was perfect as Ouiser, and Phylicia Rashad as Clairee.. What surprised me? One of 'em looked sort of familiar from a recent film... Adepero Oduye, as Anelle...{awesome acting in the film "Pariah", multi-award nominated too, well deserved} A rather oddly pleasant surprise actually, good acting again... If you've seen "Eat Drink Man Woman"...and "Tortilla Soup" You'll see the plot doesn't deviate much other than the cultures and location... It's somewhat the same between this remake of the Original.... And yes, I like all movies and actors i just mentioned{I haz perma-crush on tha' Queen} .... :mohawk::praying: |
