“The point of marriage is not to create a quick commonality by tearing down all boundaries; on the contrary, a good marriage is one in which each partner appoints the other to be the guardian of his solitude, and thus they show each other the greatest possible trust. A merging of two people is an impossibility, and where it seems to exist, it is a hemming-in, a mutual consent that robs one party or both parties of their fullest freedom and development. But once the realization is accepted that even between the closest people infinite distances exist, a marvelous living side-by-side can grow up for them, if they succeed in loving the expanse between them, which gives them the possibility of always seeing each other as a whole and before an immense sky.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet |
Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won't adhere to any rules. The most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice. Instead of vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet. That would mean that security is out of the question. The words make and stay become inappropriate. My love for you has no strings attached. I love you for free. -- Tom Robbins

Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence.

“Silence... It has a sound, a fullness. It's heavy with sigh of tree, and space between breaths. It's ripe with pause between birdsong and crash of surf. It's golden they say. But no one tells us it's addictive.” ― Angela Long |

Sometimes, simply by sitting, the soul collects wisdom.
Zen proverb |
But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Khalil Gibran |
Some days you are the dog, some days you are the tree.

I do believe in love at first sight. I believe in a lot of thing. I truly believe everything happens for a reason, even if some things are terrible or it didnt want to happen. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who dont, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life let it.

I Crave Your Mouth - Pablo Neruda
I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair. Silent, starving I prowl through the streets. Bread does not nourish me, dawn disquiets me, I search the liquid sound of your steps all day. I hunger for your sleek laugh, For your hands the color of the wild grain, I hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails, I want to eat your skin like a whole almond. I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your loveliness, The nose, sovereign of your arrogant face, I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes, And I walk hungry, smelling the twilight Looking for you, for your hot heart, Like a puma in the barren wilderness. |
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound’s the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. |
Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply. ~Stephen R. Covey

THE SHEPHERD
ENDURANCE
"Can thy heart endure? Ezek. 22:14 At times when you are not secure... Determine that you will endure... When Hate and Persecution make... Your lot seem worse than you can take... Don't panic or curse back or quit... Be patient, calm, and stick with it... Right will prevail, have Faith and Hope... And with God's help endure and cope... With bitter and false accusation... And overcome Hate's condemnation. Julien C. Hyer |

First Snow, (Excerpted from American Primitive), Mary Oliver
The snow began here this morning and all day continued, its white rhetoric everywhere calling us back to why, how, whence such beauty and what the meaning; such an oracular fever! flowing past windows, an energy it seemed would never ebb, never settle less than lovely! and only now, deep into night, it has finally ended. The silence is immense, and the heavens still hold a million candles, nowhere the familiar things: stars, the moon, the darkness we expect and nightly turn from. Trees glitter like castles of ribbons, the broad fields smolder with light, a passing creek bed lies heaped with shining hills; and though the questions that have assailed us all day remain — not a single answer has been found – walking out now into the silence and the light under the trees, and through the fields, feels like one. |
In its wild state, the truth is fluid, slippery, vagrant, scrambled, promiscuous, kaleidoscopic, and beautiful.

Richard Owen Cambridge |
“For me, a woman who is absorbed in her work, who does not care about gaining one’s favour, strong yet subtle at the same time, is essentially more seductive. The more she hides and abandons her femininity, the more it emerges from the very heart of her existence.” ― Yohji Yamamoto |
