Dear Gemme
I just had an Ahhhhh moment

then I thought

this Ahhhhh moment was brought to you by Gemme

thank you for the moment

I'm really excited to have Organic working a project because we'll be working from the same supplies. It'll be reminiscent of the project where you sent out identical supplies, Ami. I enjoyed that project very, very much.

To me, it makes sense to let him use mine and see if this is going to be something he's going to want to participate on a regular basis before going all out at the store. Besides, he hates shopping of any kind.

I was thinking a tote, some markers, papers, and maybe a pack of brads or something. Not all out at the store. I do as much of my shopping on line as I can. I hate shopping too.

amiyesiam 10-14-2010 11:44 PM

Is anyone planning their holiday wish lists Yet?
I have and most of mine is craft stuff!!
I want a cuttlebug.

heh

In Organic's world, that's too much shopping right there.

No worries, not all of my stuff is girly girl. I've got tons of brads and papers, including a whole masculine package from back in the day. It even has hunting stuff on it, I think.

Ask Diva. I think I had 4 boxes of scrapbooking items shipped to her when I moved and then I brought some down with me in the car too.

Perhaps. I'll let him putter around on his own and see what he does first. He may be a solitary crafter.

Ohhhh...that's right......<sigh> I'm sorry!

Gemme 10-15-2010 06:17 PM

No need to worry, Diva. Organic might be intimidated by your artsy awesomeness. I know I could watch you create all day long. No lie. I love how you put stuff together.

Oh, one of our newer members, katsarecool, is an artist. I was looking at her link and she has a lovely picture of a Siamese. I thought of you when I saw it. :cheesy:

Nahhh. I like pretty stuff, is all. :)

Okay, ya'll! I think Miss Katsarecool might join us for our next round! So, we'll have TWO newbies. That makes me super duper happy.

I know not everyone has received their packages yet but they HAVE been sent out, so would I be too pushy pushy to ask for a reminder as to who wanted to wrangle next? I keep thinking that Cara said something about wrangling, but I'm too lazy to go back and look. Does that sound right?

Cara, is that correct? And, if not, is there anyone chomping at the bit? If not, I'd love to wrangle another one. If not this coming one, then the next. *shrug*

Can you all tell I have my crafty stuff out and want to use it now, now, NOW? :|

cara 10-15-2010 10:52 PM

A Blessing In Disguise

Diva, and everyone!

I just got my Happy package (the nice post person left it sitting on the little ledge above the mailboxes!)!!! It was the perfect 'pick me up' since I've been having a rough day. On top of work and choir stress, all this bullying stuff is really affecting me. Instead of sad tears, I have happy ones now! :stillheart:

Everyone did SUCH a wonderful job! I love the variety and creativity. I'm amazed and inspired. Thank you, all!!!

:stillheart:

cara 10-16-2010 10:11 AM

not to distract from the excitement over the Happy Project, but who is ready for the next one? is it still okay for me to wrangle? let me know and when i get home from rehearsal tonight, i will put together the project description and sign up list. :stillheart:

I was never very good at arts and crafts, although this is my season right now.
My sister got me into detailed pumpkin carving and I love it. But I think the kids like it the most I think.

It has become the yearly ritual around here. :bluebat: :chainsaw:

An ex of mine was VERY good at this. Some of her pumpkins were even used on the set of Roseanne for their winter shoots.

Excellent! You have great timing, justkim! We're going to be doing another crafts round here very shortly. In the next day or so, Cara will let us know what project she's come up with for us to participate in and, if it's something you think you'd enjoy, then please make sure to sign up. All rules will be discussed then.

Glad you stopped by!

;) Welcome!

justkim 10-16-2010 08:20 PM

Dang! I thought I could get away with being quiet... I am looking forward to seeing what creativity I can bring forth... Most of my creativity happens when I am doing hair or going hog wild on a full set of acrylic nails...

Announcing: New Project!

Hey everyone!

I'm back from rehearsal and, as promised, here's the new project!!! :D

Simple Postcard Swap

In this project, we will be sending postcards about or from the cities in which we live. An acceptable alternative can be a city or cities which we have visited or want to visit. The postcards can be handmade or store bought, and should be a standard size (4x6...no larger than 5x7, please). In the blank space on the back of each card, please write a story, poem, or letter about the place pictured on the front of the card. Be creative! It's okay to "doctor up" store bought cards using any type of material that can (legally) be sent through the mail. You will need to send one postcard for every participant in the project. Remember to sign your name somewhere on the postcard so we know who it's from. :) Please do not worry about including money for postage this round. This is because I am horrible about remembering to include my check and no doubt owe some of you! :|

I'm capping this project at 15 participants. The sign up deadline will be 11:59 p.m. Sunday, October 24th. Projects should be postmarked and sent to me no later than Monday, November 22nd. Please sign up by adding your name to the list below. After adding your name, please PM your mailing address to me even if you think I already have it. I will PM my mailing address back to you as soon as I'm able. :)
