Looper. It was good, not great, but good enough. Bruce Willis was in it so of course it was good. There was a decent story with a dark side, a few twists and turns.....

The ending was wrong though. I don't know what they were thinking. That was not how it should have ended!

anotherbutch 10-08-2012 06:19 PM

Hunger Games.. went with my 2 daughters... they loved it... I didn't...lol

I liked the ending...it was redeeming after all the inhumanity displayed.

Sala samobójców

Suicide Room

A Polish film that was described as a film about homosexuality, but it really wasn't. I liked it.

The Forger

A 15-year-old art prodigy abandoned by his drug-addicted mother finds refuge in the picturesque seaside art community of Carmel, Calif. While trying to survive on his own, he discovers the high-stakes underground world of art forgery.

Gifted Hands

Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. stars as pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who overcomes enormous obstacles to study medicine and save lives at Johns Hopkins Hospital in this made-for-cable drama based on Carson's memoirs.

LoyalWolfsBlade 10-09-2012 01:42 PM

30 Days of Night, 2007 Directed by David Slade..again

One of the best vampire movies ever made if you ask me and the graphic novel was awesome too.

Snow White and the Huntsman (2012)

'Snow White is the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman dispatched to kill her"

Nemo... 3D

Dory "Hey there Mr. Grumpy Gills. When life gets you down do you wanna know what you've gotta do?"
Marlin "No I don't wanna know."
Dory [singing] "Just keep swimming... Just keep swimming... Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming... What do we do? We swim, swim."

The remastered African Queen on the big screen, sharing a bucket of popcorn with my girl.

moxie 10-11-2012 04:57 PM

This is the last movie I have seen in the theaters, was a few months ago when I was in the "big city". I love Scandinavian films and this one is AWESOME. It has a lot of nudity and violence in it but is a good story and suspenseful. It's called Headhunters. I believe it is on Netflix.

(showing the American trailer because it's safer to watch)

AnnRkey 10-11-2012 05:59 PM

The entire 3rd season of Merlin!

Looper, and it was not worth the money.
We both walked out going 'really'. It was korny and predictable.

The_Lady_Snow 10-19-2012 10:20 AM

Movies

"The Sitter" - it had its ha ha moments I'd give it a 2 1/2 star rating

"Girl in Progress" - it's cute I loved it because of all the cultural content & Eva is cute cute cute!

cinnamongrrl 10-19-2012 10:39 AM

Paranormal Activity 4 = Lame activity:blink:

Argo, and I really enjoyed it.

Two favourite lines from the movie.
"No, Canadians don't pronounce the T, it's Torono."
and
"Argo fuck yourself."

The movie reminded me again why we should never believe anything in the media. I thought it was well acted and very enjoyable.

I have to say that you Americans are on a more patriotic kick then usual. Every movie for the last two years has been how great the Americans are and how amazing your military is, but the coming line up is All American All the Time. Even more Yankee Doodle Dandy then usual. Not a slam, just an observation.

LoyalWolfsBlade 10-21-2012 11:33 PM

The Midnight Meat Train 2008

It is an adaption of a Clive Barker short story about a photographer that becomes obsessed with a serial killer. It was actually pretty good and not as gory as some I watch..hey this one had a plot.

NJFemmie 10-22-2012 10:04 AM

Finally got around to watching the Hunger Games. Ehh. I have mixed emotions. Kinda depressing.

Dark Shadows. Very interesting take on a very cheesy old soap opera. I was waiting to see a camera boom or something. Actually, I was looking forward to it, lol. Love Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.

Holding on to The Avengers for a special movie day.

SoulShineFemme 10-22-2012 10:07 AM

ONLY and I watched Prometheus the other night. It's a sci-fi/action flick with lots of effects but it left me going HUH?? There was no closure at the end. I hate that.

Thanks for the heads up, but I HAVE to watch it because of Alien.
I've seen every Alien movie and not seeing this will create a gigantic void which I am afraid I will forever be lost.

Yeah, cause I'm geeky like that.

*sigh*

Not for the faint of heart...

"Francis"

A true account based on the life of the 1930's actress Francis Farmer, who actually was forced to have a labotomy against her will. The once vivacious, full-spirited, woman was never the same again. Jessica Lang plays Francis..and she did an incredible job.

ruffryder 10-22-2012 04:27 PM

I want to see Argo. Anyone see it?

Hollylane 10-24-2012 02:08 PM

Defiance (true story)

What an amazingly powerful film...I loved it.

Duchess 10-24-2012 07:25 PM

Alex Cross...Good plot, decent acting.

PaPa 10-24-2012 07:37 PM

Watched a film called Abduction on Netflix about a kid who learned he was on a missing kids site. He researches it and the suspense is pretty good throughout. First movie I have sat through in quite some time. Guess the new television with internet apps is going to actually get used. LOL!

The_Lady_Snow 10-24-2012 08:16 PM

Happy Thoughts

"The Lorax"
- what?! Can't go to sleep with flesh eating walking dead on the mind.........

Hollylane 10-24-2012 09:51 PM

I liked this one almost as much as ET, but there could have been more touchy feely moments with the alien...
