Two whole days off after today

Being officially enrolled for January classes...

1. The pungent bite of the horseradish root and turmeric roots to my nostrils as I peel and slice them while preparing this year's batch of Fire Cider.

2. Knowing that I always have the love of my dear friends surrounding me.

3. The unmistakable bond that my sweet Sadie and I share. The two of us share a language and an understanding that is unshakable. I love my pup!

4. My walk this morning at 5:30. It was still dark and so very peaceful and quiet. It started my day out just right. This may become a habit. :)

5. Knowing that the LGBT community, women, & the people of all colors and cultures did not fight to come this far only to be beat back down by the likes of Trump and his cohorts. A knowing that we will be okay and somehow come out of this even stronger.

My long time best friend (and former boss for over 23 years!) came by today with a fresh of supply chocolates, skittles and raisenettes (?) and gobs of magazines, new slippers and other life line stuff, as well as presenting a compelling case to accept high blood pressure meds to aide in my recovery. I'm so grateful for her!

The ability to adjust my point of view to accommodate new plans to help me get home.

The ability to make new friends with people I don't even know, but are facing dire situations in their own lives.

My youngest brother who makes me laugh at the craziest stuff, when it's hard to find laughter on really awkward situations.

To be able to make do or go without or find some sliver of happiness in really tough situations.

1. Insurance! My insurance was unexpectedly canceled a couple of months ago and it was a white-knuckle few weeks until I could get it again. Today I go for dental work and check ups and that is a GOOD thing!

2. Spotify! I love my Postmodern Jukebox!

3. Audiobooks! I've always loved to read but my life has become so busy in the last years that I wasn't reading as much as I wanted to I switched to audiobooks. I get through one a week, sometimes two, depending on work and activities and I LOVE it.

4. Road Trips! I love loading up the dogs, turning on my book, and driving for hours in my big black road witch of a car.

5. Hope! It's a good thing.

1. My water kefir (keh-fear) grains finally woke their ass up and got busy making water kefir.

2. I can make water kefir soda now. This stuff is so good, (it is naturally carbonated) plus it's a great probiotic for your gut.

3. I do believe Spring has sprung here in central Florida! Yay!

4. I remain committed to my end of December decision to go full time Paleo. Good things are happening because of it!

5. I have worked diligently to find my way to the space I am in today emotionally & mentally. I like this space. :)
