Spent the evening talking to my beautiful baby girl :cheesy:
She's looking at using herbs for doing facials and other treatments ... yet another thing we can share together as I'm learning about using them for healing purposes and would like to use them as an alternative to some of the more harsh chemicals used to treat patients when I work in psychology ... Planning raised beds for Mom too :) |

A lot of the practices and procedures are archaic and inefficient and flat-out stupid, but I work with some of the nicest and funniest people who have taken this city girl in and are trying to teach me the ways down here.

Several things did make me smile today, even if it was a hard, tiresome day...
**Ryobi and DomnNC made me smile **A conversation about bing cherries and HOT green tomato salsa with an AWESOME friend that I've been missing very much... **sharing a few feelings or similar thoughts with a local friend, that we both needed to get off our shoulders... **joking around with my Roomie **taking care of my Roomie's really old dog, Trippy, who always makes my heart swell with affection for such a sweet old soul... Trippy's playfulness always brightens my day. **thinking of my lil Gma and Gramma D tonight while I was mixing up a batch of salsa... I really miss sharing the kitchen with them... **thinking about the amazing, awesome friends I've made in the past couple years **FINALLY getting the 3rd batch of salsa in the canning jars and on the stove...at 1:15 in the morning! *PRAYING that all the jars seal* **thinking about a particular job post I still have pending (that would be a HUGE increase in pay)...and feeling HOPE about the interview process instead of despair **being told I am appreciated and cared for by several different people today... and a bunch of other things that I'm too tired to list... *mumbling something about watching water boil for the 3rd time tonight* |
Finding out from my boss that our horrible dispatcher is going to be replaced on Monday. Might make life easier for everyone.

The packing list for my camping trip....
... 3 days and 2 night when I do not have to talk to anyone if I don't want to. No kids, No parents, No distractions... ... Time for meditation, reading, hiking, just... being... without expectation. ... I am getting so excited, its less then a week away. |

dinner with friends and "coming out of my shell" to be much more social than I felt comfortable with several years ago. I was never the "party" girl, but I sure enjoy socializing and having a great time with good friends.
Received a phone call today from a close friend who made me smile when she said she doesn't feel as if I have a competitive nature and that makes for a better friendship. That is so true. I cherish her friendship and her candidness. |

My son who is a grown man, with 2 of the most gorgeous babygirls in the world. Accomplished in his job. Calling me to tell me they are moving into a bigger house so proud of himself. Getting all excited when I mentioned coming to visit for a weekend.

My son is a total snuggle bug lately. Today as hes sitting with me on the couch and I playfully rubbed at his back. Hy says...
... Mom, use your nails to scratch... a little higher, now to the side... AHHH, thats the spot... ahhhh!!! This makes me smile. |
