What do you do with a person who refuses to help themselves. If they did the situation would be a lot easier for all concerned.

You can't make anyone do anything, unfortunately. There are plenty of people I'd love to give a push in the right direction but until they want to do something for their self, you can't do very much.

A friend put this on FB today....

Go to Google maps...put your destination as Japan...your starting point as USA. Ask for directions.

Check out step #31  I don't think I'm up to that....

Suspicious activity on my account, the company disabled it without me knowing until I tried to buy something. It's a hassle to deal with.

My uncle died yesterday. He was the most amazing fisherman. When we'd go fishing with the family, it seemed to me he'd no sooner cast in his line and out come a big ole fish. He'd do it again and again...and sometimes he'd even get his picture in our local paper with all his catch. He had a gift.

He was very tall (6'4"), dark and okay not so handsome but he sure had a way with the ladies...which is why my aunt divorced him one day and moved to California.

But I digress...

I will miss my tio Goyo...RIP.

"To serve people takes dignity and intelligence. But remember, they're only people with money, and although we serve them, we are not their servants. What we do does not define who we are. What defines us is how well we rise after falling."

I always liked my 1963 kitchen.....even in the beginning, when it was heinous with it's 2-of-4-burners-working-electrical cooktop and an oven that ran 100-degrees too hot. :| Even with the brown sink and a black dishwasher and gold and white formica.

But today......I'm in LOVE with my kitchen! Slowly but surely, it's turning into a really neat place to bake & cook!

I :heartbeat: my kitchen!

It was a mighty cold morning to be out on a terrace.

Once every few years my (otherwise ineffectual) BFA in Costume Design comes in handy...I have just pulled together a Mad Men-esque ensem from my wardrobe in ten minutes; replete with a fake snake skin handbag and little white scallop-edged gloves circa 1961 previously owned by my Grama.

Kätzchen 01-14-2011 05:25 PM

there's a sweet tree frog who is croaking right out side
my bedroom window...
