I brought home Popeyes famous new chicken sandwich. I think the hype was true! It was the best fast food chicken sandwich I’ve ever had

It was yesterday -

A new Fender Stratocaster electric guitar and amp
3 Harry Potter LEGO builds to add to my collection
Wiper blades for my car and truck
Gas for the aforementioned vehicles
Cat treats and dry food
A couple of patio decorations for the new place
Some storage bins to organize seasonal stuff in my new garage

Last and certainly not least - a trip to the barber!

I bought groceries and I had $20 in Kohl's cash burning a hole in my pocket.

I hit up the distressed plant rack at work yesterday. I came home with 3 perfect gerber daisy plants, a pink hanging begonia, an interesting indoor plant and a little anthruim. All for $6.

Also 2 tankini tops and a bottom came in the mail.

Sometimes retail therapy helps with stress.

-Coffee
-½ in ½
-Gallon of milk
-Horrible food from Jack in the Box they couldn't have made worse. Well I suppose if they burned it and sent me the ashes in a fry bag it could have been worse, and I ate it anyhow. So at least for today I'm not dieting, there's that

I remember buying cute stuff, like this, for my grandniece when she was young!

Now she's a senior in College, majoring in art, so this is what I'm sending her...

A poured patio for our rental unit, salad greens, corn on the cob and bread for the chickens, apples for the horses and fixings for snacks to eat while watching the Jan 6th committee findings tonight. Oh and maybe or maybe not a small cheese cake.

The full box set of the tv series ER

A Magic 8 ball (I mean who does not need something that has the answers for all questions posed?)

The full set (5 movies) Pirates of the Caribbean (had these all once upon a time - I had lent them out to friends over the years - and now I have not a one).

Patterned sheets. I always buy solid color sheets but no longer like them and have been buying sheets with pattens of leaves.

I am about to head to my favorite greenhouse that is having a $1 sale on all annuals, herbs, veggies and sunflowers. I am bringing the truck…..

Gemme 06-11-2022 10:25 AM

In the wee hours of the morn, I purchased some junk journals. I'm not sure if they are going to be strictly reference materials or if I will build upon them but they are adorable. Before the day is done, I will pay some bills, make an exchange at Saver's, return something to Home Goods (which almost always means another purchase there) and visit my waxer. Not in that order.

A little retail therapy has helped for the moment, from the week I'm having.

A cat fountain
A cat tree with a hammock on top
Cat food
A fry daddy. I'm really craving fish and chips
An emergency hand crank radio/flashlight/phone charger.

All Prime Days😊

A 24’ long 6’ high cucumber trellis.

Next years garden is going to be bigger….

I was on FB and a gentleman and his wife are having a garage sale tomorrow and Saturday and I happened to notice in one of the pics they posted some Batman stuff. So, I messaged him and asked if there was any way I could stop by and pluck those items up from him. He was more than happy to oblige. However, the best part was - he also offered to let Me look through ALL the rest of the stuff he had - so I scored the following:

1 diecast Batmobile (medium sized) and 1 Hot Wheels Batmobile (small)

A new in the package Coleman backpack cooler - that holds up to 56 canned items (or anything else that would fill the thing out).

A NIKON cool pix camera - brand new - for only $10. I have been looking for this type of camera FOREVER as I used to have one - and it broke. This was a serious score as the retail on them is pretty pricey.

4 pairs of capri pants and 5 t-shirts for My sister.

2 pkgs of zip ties

3 necklaces and 1 watch (all new in their original packaging).

Numerous (dare I say it) Christmas decorations and a door wreath.

1 tall (new) candle that smells like citrus.

1 bunch of fake flowers (yellow, purple, green, and white) for My sister.

1 travel Yahtzee game.

1 Harry Potter pez (for My niece).

1 wireless set of earbuds

I think there were a few more things - but I cannot remember them now. All of this stuff - totaled out to $32!

It felt like garage sale prime day!

OMG! I wish I was with you! I would have had so much fun. I love yard-sale-ing, garage sales, estate sales....you name it! Buying other peoples' junk for pennies on the dollar! WOW! Enjoy all your new things, Reach!

Is anyone here interested in watches? I've recently gained a heavy interest in them and have purchased a couple. I'm still learning about movements and the pros and cons of each, but for now, I'm starting with the aesthetics and size of the face, bezel, case, strap and strap closure. And of course, reliability. I'm learning about the history of some of the brands and even how some companies are moving towards eco-friendly construction, such as the Alpina Seastrong Diver Gyre that's made of recycled ocean plastic and apples (you read that right).

I love the idea of matching a wrist watch with what I wear or do; it feels...rich. It's one of those accoutrements that is probably unnoticed by everyone but me, and it's worth penny. Since I'm not rolling in disposable income, I'm starting with the low end of some of the lower luxury brands to get a feel for what I think of the company. Today I got a Tissot Couturier. It's a stainless steel case with a black face, silver-tone hands and hour markers, and orange minute markers with orange stitching on the black leather strap.

I DO notice watches, on, well, almost everyone! I find them fascinating! I am going to google the recycled plastic & apples one.

You are, for sure, a watch connoiseur! Awesome!

My all time favorite is a Citizen's Eco Drive...stainless steel snap band, tiny diamonds around edge, and the face is mother of pearl....it is a gorgeous watch. My deceased, LTR partner gave it to me, as a last gift, about 13 yrs ago. It doesn't use batteries, rather works on movement. Everyone is always asking me if it is a Rolex...it looks that nice/expensive. As it was, this watch was almost a grand BUT we got it for a third (store closing/liquidation). I was actually looking for a Tag Hauer and saw that MOP face & KNEW it was for me.

Thanks for an interesting post!!!
