Getting out in the woods for a bit before work....the colors keep getting better and better....The crunch of the leaves under my feet took me back to my childhood...when there was nothing better in this WORLD than a leaf pile! God those were the days...sweet simplicity...kids today dont have a clue...

Telling her family stories tonight, about my brother and mother and grandmother that had her laughing until she cried. |
Getting closer to making bonus this month....I can smell the $$$. About time!

An unexpected phone call and the soft chuckle when I said playfully "what the hell do you want?" LOL.. It was a very much needed light hearted conversation. Oh... and of course I will add a special babygirl touch to that item for you. :blueheels:

I actually smiled more then I thought I would today
There were the pleasant dreams instead of the night mares There were the unexpected messages waiting for me here The message of concern and it will be okay waiting for me on FB The little private reps left by friends and even people I do not know that made me smile The unexpected phone call late at night just nice to have human contact Receiving the list for the card exchange All in all a pretty good day full of more smiles then sadness |
I watched a show on the documentry chanel today,the name was See What I'm Saying..Deaf performers.At first I didnt want to watch it,I had to think deep as to why so all I could come up with was that for most of my life I have had to be a deaf person in a hearing world that didnt care if I had a hearing problem or not.I was expected to just do it anyway so embraceing my deafness was something I dint do mostly I just didnt know but a fue other deaf people so I hadnt much experence within the community.This program brought out some things in me that allowed me to realise I can be as productive as a hearing person,I dont need to make excuses for my deafness (wich is a biggie for me)I have always done my best to be all I could be,but its hard when hearing people dont see the difrently able ablities I and opthers like me have.Once I had a co worker say somethig to me behind my back so I barely understood him,when I ask ..say again,I was told never mind I will do it myself.Yeah,it hurt my feelings but like always I shrughed it off..what else can I do.Any how watch the show if you can,its well worth it.

Birthday Cake...
So it seems my grandson who just happens to have turned three today got to decide on his cake.
Before the grocery store... my daughter: Do you know what kind of cake you want Ju? grandson: A brown cake! Yes! daughter: okay we will see what is there... Entering the bakery dept... grandson: There! Right there! *pointing* There is my brown cake! *giggles* daughter: Well there... that was easy enough. OMG That was the best damn chocolate chocolate icing cake I have ever had!! :D |

Smile today....
Well I think my smiles worked on the electrician today, cause he changed all my burnt out lights in the store. I won't be climbing the ladder for a while...woo hooo |
Not just smile, but big belly laugh -- when someone forgot to bring the "jammer panties" to roller derby scrimmage (those are the covers that the jammers put over their helmets) and as I was looking through my car to see if I had a scarf or bandanna that they could use instead, I found a bag of my granddaughter's old "boy panties" (the only kind she'll wear - with toy story, super heros, etc.).
Well I brought a couple of them in as a joke, and they ended up wearing them during the scrimmage over their helmets. If you can't quite picture it, imagine two women skating around with toddler boy's cartoon character underwear pulled over their skateboard-style helmets. (You probably have to understand derby to get this, and if I could post a pic you would see what I mean, but it's still making me laugh!) |

Just emailed off my last assignment for the year ( for my uni course) and I am enjoying a feeling of complete freedom ....... no pressure for the rest of the year!!!!
