... I watched Ray's new show: Men of a certain age, and I really could "relate" to many of the thoughts/lines - the writing. I think it will be a success.

Hmmmm, but I wonder what that means that I could identify? (Well, I have my thoughts, but they are private... BLUSH.)

This emoticon, :leatherdad: (termed "leatherdad" here) may look like the leather gay guy from Southpark a little bit, but otherwise it reminds me of a prisoner from the old days of the island penitentiaries. (Like Devil's Island, part of the French Guiana with the movie Papillon - doesn't this look like the Dustin Hoffman character in this, sans the thick eye glasses? Well, no I don't think he had a mustache in that either, but oh, the hat/part of the uniform is so very close!)

And finally, I've been watching the Cold Case show here. I really didn't know that disco dancing competition was THAT serious back in the day. My only reference point was that Travolta movie... (I mean I danced on those floors and to that music MYSELF as a "yout", but how serious were "we" about it in my area (?) - not very...) My goodness, "burn baby burn" lyrics from Disco Inferno song takes on NEW meaning for me now!

Ok ... now , I am finishing my coffee and I am really going shopping . I dread that , but I have no other option . I became allergic to this madness .

good grief !!!!! ..... I was thinking the country it's in recession . I must been wrong or someone it's reporting inaccurate news . Each year with my friend I sponsor a family for Christmas . This year we sponsoring a single mother with three children .

Today, I was going shopping for a few more things that I felt they would enjoy in addition of things they need and few more presents for my friends . I left 2 PM and I got home about a hour ago and HUNGRY ! I haven't even have energy to wait for a table . I took shower and warm up leftovers from yesterday .

It was a madness as I was expecting . People shopping like tomorrow it's the end of the world . I dreaded to go a last weekend before Christmas , but I didn't have much time this year .... life is busy here .
Needless to say my SUV was packed to the roof and I have to carry all that stuff on the third floor in my house where I got set up for wrapping presents .... very smart :( ... things will change next year for sure .

and when I was out there I find few things for myself ;) and a pair of awesome boots that I cannot wait to take them out .... well , it's Saturday and something it's happening in town , but I would need to call 911 to get me there in my new boots . ;)

On Closed Doors...
 

When one door closes, we always hope another one will open.
There are times however, when every door slams shut and you're keys don't fit the locks in any of them.
Take heart. You haven't run out of road.
The key to the next door is no longer
in your ready hand. It's hidden deep in your heart.
Retrieving it isn't an easy task. Nor is it meant to be.
We gather a lot of junk in our travels, hanging on to bits and pieces of people
and circumstances we've encountered along the way.
Then, one day, we find ourselves sitting on a large pile of baggage, facing a bunch of doors and wondering why we can't find an open one to drag ourselves and all our junk through.
It's time to change your course, lighten the load and let go.
Whats happened in the past, belongs in the past. Carrying it with you and allowing it to taint your future, serves no good purpose.
You are capable of changing and rearranging the way you do things. The sound of slamming doors is your signal to stop, sit down, take a break, take a look at the lessons from the past, learn from them and figure out a better plan.

I can see it all now....as I sat home watching football today, Refusing to go into the madness out there...I enjoyed it vicariously on TV
