Two things....
Waking up to a sleepy boy.... Who was going to sleep as I was getting up. Hearing Daddy's voice on the phone as I dragged myself into work this morning. |

Learning that my Dad may come home tomorrow after dinner. He will be required to have nurse's come in to care for him, but he may be home TOMORROW! *BIG Smile.
But that is not ALL! I talked with my professor this afternoon and she reported she talked to my one supervisor. This supervisor praised me to the hilt and my professor believes that if I am still with them (in the event I do not get Spring internship with the state) then I will be offered a job at the completion of Spring semester! Of course we hope for the state position...which is paid and will be full time with benes upon graduation...but it looks like either way I will definitely be employed come May! That, my friends, is beyond good news because my goal since 2005 has been to get off the disability rolls and get back to work helping others with disabilities return to work. For this position I I needed a master's degree with national licensure (which I must admit cost me $395 just to sit for the damn thing in March). I think I have completed these goals in pretty good time and with a perfect 4.0 I might add! Oh the awesome things that made me smile today..... LIFE IS GOOD FOLKS! SMILE WITH ME!! Aww come on...ya know ya wanna. *Chuckles. |
Surprising how something as simple as a rep can lead to a message, which can lead to 2 hour texting, which changes your entire perception of a person...in a good way. :)

Receiving a text that said I was missed and asked if I was okay Being ordered to bed at 8:30 by S and I actually went but since it is now 4:30 you see how long that lasted both made me me smile Coming here and seeing a rep from a buddy that simply was a check in...feels nice to know others care. Seeing the other posts in here Teddybear abd cinnamongirl are just so cute and Yeah PaPa. |

And a ski trip to Loon mountain this weekend! I just cannot wait to sit in the lodge, have a fabulous steak dinner, a warm drink, and a long soak in the hot tub outside on the terrace of my room...and all this after a beautifully sunny day on the slopes...Yay!!.......:downhillski: |

She and I had the BEST day yesterday. :D
We had to get up early to go out and buy another washing machine. The old one died a horrible, noisy death. We had a great breakfast out at a local buffet, then we went and picked out a new front loader "steam" washer at Sears (I <3 Kenmore appliances). We found one on sale and bought the whole caboodle, complete with pedestal, so neither of us has to lean down to fish wet clothes out. Then we came home and had a relaxing afternoon together. The Christmas tree is up and we had a great time getting the ornaments out and sorted through. This will be our first Christmas together and she'll meet my mother, sister and niece for the first time (G-d help her!!! LOL). So then, last night, we were both feeling a little restless, so we threw on some clothes and went down to the local casino, which is not even a mile down the road from my house, and we had a little fun with the slots and video poker machines. I hit a 50 cent royal flush for a $2000 jackpot, then I got another $600 out of a dollar poker machine, and L learned how to play video poker and walked away with $300 in winnings of her own. We then came home and I realized...... The casino just paid for our new front load Kenmore Elite steam washer!!!!! :clap::thumbsup::cheer: So...... We're smiling this morning over coffee as we wait for the Sears truck to arrive, deliver and set up the new washer. :winky: ~Theo~ :bouquet: |
