Well Dee, if I was eating meat fresh from the farm I probably wouldn't be using much ketchup either - except on eggs. Can't eat eggs without the ketchup. Blechhhh! |
I do not eat Ketchup or Catsup :) I dont think I have bought any in years...but here in the midwest we use RANCH dressing for everything! You can put it on anything from burritos to porkchops and everything in between.

I don't really have a brand but I get the squeeze one. Has to be 3 parts ketchup to one part mustard. Lol. Don't give me that green shit either, ketchup is red! When I was little I dipped potato chips in it and I even had some on a tortilla. The babysitter used to feed me it with eggs and till today I say yuck! |

 I liked ranch dressing on Jack in the Box's natural cut fries (with the skins on the ends) until they changed the fries. Quote:

i prefer hunt's. has a bit mo' tang and a thicker consistency. but i mos'ly like it wit' a dollop o' proper horseradish in it! :shocking:
oh yah... compliments anathang from seafood, to cocktail sausages, to burgers, to even eggs |
I'm a Watties girl when home. :D Here, there is a brand called Tiptree and is made up the road. It's sold in most supermarkets here. I only eat Tom Sauce on Veggie Hotdogs, Burgers and Vegan melted Cheese on toast. A bottle can last me a year...
Other foods I'm a Mayo, Mustard, Horseradish, Apple sauce and Dressing girl, lol! |

WATTIE'S Tomato Sauce is a New Zealand brand I grew up with and buy from the NZ shops in London sometimes (it's like Rugby; a huge part of Kiwi life, lol!) and Tiptree is an Artisan home-made style Tomato ketchup made in an idyllic English rural setting and sold nationwide. |
Syr just put ketchup in her mac n cheese.
 |

Red Gold is prob my favorite :) Perfect shift in taste before/after.
Added with a bit of Sriracha even better for a nice alternative to plain Ketchup. Oh, and its good on everything except cereal ;) |
Huy Fong!

I love the stuff!! When I lived in Vegas, I use to get the most amazing ketchup from Wholefoods called, ''Annie's Naturals Organic Ketchup''
I have no idea if I can get it here in, London. I also have never looked for it. I get the Tesco value brand ketchup. Why? Cause, it's cheap, it comes in a glass bottle and I cannot tell the difference when it comes to the taste of it. I also like that it comes in a glass bottle. I grew up with ketchup being refrigerated. So, it still is. Even tho, it really doesn't need to be. When ever I am eating a piece of baked chicken I always put Ketchup on it. This started when I was a little kid. My whole family thinks I am utter nuts for doing this. But my sister doesnt get called, nuts when she mixes mayo into her ketchup. It always just grosses me out to no end! |

I hardly ever use ketchup and prefer Heinz, but Hunt's was on sale, so I bought it instead :|
Really the only thing I use ketchup for is french fries or when I make my Sloppy Joe recipe. Oh and I'll add a splash of ketchup and some brown sugar to canned pork n beans. A squeeze bottle of it in my house can never be used up before it expires. |
My fave...
Heinz Hot & Spicy ketchup...it's really good when you use it to make cocktail sauce.
|
Ketchup is okay, but I definitely prefer mustard. Mustard is my favorite condiment and I often enjoy it as an enhancement on or in almost any food.
I detest ranch dressing. I love vinegar a lot and especially balsamic vinaigrette. |
