Was talking to my candygirl a little earlier and we were comparing notes on "Coven". Anyone else DVR this so you can skip the commercials? LOLOL

I loved the first season of AHS when it had that dude in the rubber suit but I never watches "Asylum". So far I am loving "Coven" but am curious what you all think is the creepiest season so far?

I DVR this and tonight... I am going to crawl into bed - Prop my aging knees on two pillows and fast forward through the commercials. I watched the first season, but forget the rubber suit guy (memory failing) but I think this one is going to scare me the MOST!

All I can say is HOLY FUCK! What an episode!

The last instalmet of coven,was hot,I swear it gets better every time I watch it.It dosen't miss much..I am totaly hookd on it.I even watch the reruns after the show to catche what I may have missed.

I loved this last episode... I snickered and laugggggggggghed when Delphine LaLaurie was watching Obama in the magic box. I wish I could remember her line - but it was classic. And Queenie - why oh why did she want to be mounted by that bull? I can say I am not sorry at the demise of Madison. And seriously... That woman deserved to have her head bashed in.

I really liked last season of American Horror Story (Asylum) but after watching just the first episode of this season I'm really disappointed. The first episode was just disgusting to me. The opening scene was just fucked up, the rape scene needlessly drawn out and overall it pissed me off that to them it seems it's ok to show explicit torture of black slaves and a prolonged gang rape scene of a female character...but when it comes to rapists dying in a bus crash or a murdering/torturing slave owner being buried alive they barely show a thing. I don't really care to see anyone dying, but it says something about the way the writers/directors see things.

Then making the one black character the human voodoo doll (seriously??), and having another girl's "magical power" being to basically only have the power to kill men if she forces unwanted sex on herself.

After that I didn't really care to watch any of the other episodes... But did it get any better after that first episode?

Ender... It's all part of the story line and premise for this season. For me, it gets better and better. You will just have to watch it to see how it unfolds.

Really diggin' on Fleetwood Mac making appearances. Have had "Rhiannon" stuck in my head allll freakin' day. But it's good, because Stevie Nicks truly was a supreme ;)

Super psyched that they had the beginning of the "Coven" series on demand. I thought I missed it for sure!

I never saw the first season of "American Horror Story" but I did really enjoy last season. So far I think "Coven" is incredible. Great writing and acting. Yes, it does get a little explicit and cross some questionable lines but overall, it works and doesn't come off as gratuitous, which takes serious talent from the writers and actors alike.

I am a true fan of AHS. Coven is a delight to my twisted senses. I watch it because it IS disgusting and way off the charts regarding fear and horror.

I think a school for young witches is a mastermind.

I loved the opening of ep 1 when we are taken down to her basement.

I love that she ends up being a maid.

I love the skillful subplot of supreme coming to her senses about her daughter

I love the voiceless butler dancing in his room in a woman's nightie, having a tea party with his dolls, and the dead Madison

I LOVE Queenie and the gal with MR...(cant remember her name and she isnt even listed on the AHS web page!)

I dont get why the sewed up guy is such a small part of this season

and I love love love "Stevie Nicks" is such a big part of it!

I love, love love it all too and if they made it through the walking dead,the actress with Down Syndrome, Jamie Brewer is about to find love as well. At least I hope so.

I have to get better at using the save the fav thread function. I missed the entire discussion. I am very good however, at prerecording everything I watch so I don't watch commercial for this or any program.

For me the first season of AHS will always reign supreme. I can remember watching the first episode of the first season, I would watch by myself, late at night in the living room. Somehow when I watch in the bedroom with the door closed it feels safer. Anyway, just the first few notes of the theme song would strike terror into my soul. Silly right. The strange part of this affection for season one is that it is not in line with my view on horror. I do not find the paranormal scary at all, in fact the only theme that strikes any true terror is one containing a human; like a serial killer. People as maniacal beings, that threat is real. So why on earth I found a haunted house theme so scary is beyond me. I did though. I assume it starts with the writing, the filming, directing and the acting just somehow working together. The tone of the show was like a picture of a tastefully done room with just a glimpse(if you used your peripheral vision) of the flamboyant. More of a suggestion. I certainly find some very benign scenes in older movies to be incredibly sexy compared to the counterpart's ability to use nudity and lewdness to tempt which should be more satisfying but isn't. They used normalcy foiled with the absurd to confuse us and keep us guessing. It was also a new take on an old genre and they nailed it. I think that is part of why I enjoyed season one so much. I could not argue that is was a better story line or that it was uber scary, it just holds that place in my heart.

I loved tonight's episode. I don't want to post any spoilers but if you get past the obvious in this show, there's real depth and it's brilliant.

I can't wait till the next season starts,no telling what will happen,I really dig the suspense.

I though the show was outstanding,I made a mad dash home after my pool game so I could watch it..even the replay's till it went off.The new Supreme is going to be good for the coven as she has the abllity to handle the job plus maturity.I wonder if coming out to the world as she did, how would it effect the coven,it will surely be a new spin on the show.

P.S....Where is Nan,did I miss something somewhere???

Wow,that had to happen when I was out of the room, even tho I did see a snippet in a play back.Nan should have been kept on as she added a lot to the show.

AHS: I was very hesitant to watch, but my friends continued on and convinced me to give it a try. Thankfully season 1 was great, cuz if season 2 was the first, it most likely it would have ended there for me.
Season 2 was dreadfully painful.

But Season 3, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange... need I say more, but I will. ;)
AMAZING .. great story line. The ugly history of slavery (there was nothing nice about it) and women seen as (or perceived as) second class, will always strike a cord. It's unpleasantry, it's inhuman, the mystic, and triumphs.
adding to superb acting.

I can't begin to imagine where they will go with S4.

Gotta wait until October... but I am so ready :)

Well crap, they changed it!! I saw a couple of promos where they were calling it "Carnival". Either way, you can bet there are going to be some creepy ass clowns! Yyyyiiiikkkeeessss!!!

I agree coven was hot,I wish they had gone further with the story line.Darn October is a long time to wait..but so worth the wait.

Was the first American Horror that I watched, and now I'm hooked. Bought the first and second season, to keep me occupied until season 4.

Amazing. Love that they keep the stars and change the show.
