Some not so secret...
Buying a sail boat--I surf sites relentlessly. My friends call it Boat Porn
Sailing. 'nuff said. BBQ--love it; verb, condiment, dry rub, just....mm mm mm Chinese clay teapots--beautiful and delicate, shaped like animals or carved and sculpted to depict an entire story or legend, various color clays Lotioning my son's skin. Poor kid, he's pretty slickered up good all the time...and he smells so great I wanna eat him up with a spoon. Clean bathroom and kitchen, great smelling laundry and clean iPad screen. (Ironically, could care less about my iPhone screen-) |
Since it's unlikely that I'll ever meet anyone here and, of course, this is an entirely judgement-free-zone - I'll unload. I have an unhealthy Hello Kitty obsession. I see Hello Kitty crap in a store and I'm immediately drawn, and I stand there fondling the scented colored pencils until my wife comes over and then I say something like, can you believe people actually buy this garbage? But I have a box in my office where I keep my stash - the watch, the sparkly pink coin purse, the lip gloss, stickers, manicure set - nothing too large. But when I open the box, and everything is all glittery and pink - I feel so dirty, but soooo good. It's not something I'm proud of.
But I think my wife suspects. There was a set of Hello Kitty highlighters in my Christmas stocking last year. (Hello Kitty!? How funny - thank you!) So they're in my desk drawer, not in the box. But we never talk about it. |
My obsessions:
- Gadgets - Neon lights of any kind that change color - Things that glow in the dark - Sunglasses (I have 8 pairs) - Sneakers - My Hair (I'm very meticulous) - Red Swedish Fish - Hershey Kisses - Pepsi I'm sure more things will come to mind... |
As The Lady Snow said earlier, lotion. Not too perfumy, not too slickery, but something that leaves my skin hydrated all day. I love Nivea's sea mineral lotion and a friend gave me a BCBG perfume kit that has a lotion with sparkles in it. Totally fun!
I am also addicted to Tignanello handbags. Gladiator Sandals Vintage dresses Pretty quilts for my bed Animals (shhhh...don't tell the anti-hording police!) ;) Chapstick...don't get me started on this one! Burt's Bees original is the BEST! Books Vintage bicycles Shower products. Burt's Bees cranberry pomegranate sugar scrub is a must! |

I have over 130 pieces of wall art, not to mention the numerous pieces of non-wall art. That isn't counting the art that I create. Something needs to be done. I think I need to start thinking about letting some of it go. |

PBS specials (on nature or history) BOOKS! toblerone.... and lately.....mangoes.... a lot of these things i discovered to be obsessions in the course of packing to move....oh add travel brochures to that....i have HEAPS of them :| |

I collect nail polish colors that catch my eye.
I love scents. I put some of his cologne on me as to smell him all day. I love giving cards. I could spend hours in a card isle reading them to find the perfect one. I love jewelry. I buy and sell it. And want my own business learning to make my own. I like to paint some of my body parts with a brush or roller <Yummy> and a print of my high heels, kisses etc... and transfer them onto a canvas. Only I know what the abstract is. I call it "femme art" I used to collect play collars. Beautiful ones |
Martial arts techniques and self defense strategies. I am always thinking of scenarios and ways that I would handle a situation.
Coca Cola memorabilia. I haven't collected nearly as much as I use to but I love the stuff! The red and white but more importantly the older ads. I have a shit-ton of the collector trading cards and want to get back into collecting more. Also the old school Wacky Packages stickers. I have wanting to start a collection of those too and check then out online quite frequently. Okay there's more but this is enough for now... Lol |

My Secret Obsessions
When I was very young I used to love collecting unusual looking rocks but I think as the years go by I am starting to do without this obsession and new obsessions have become replacements! I have to admit that I still LOVE to pop bubble wrap but its kind of a rare treat for me :D
Here are my current obsessions in no particular order: office supplies re-doing roadside furniture (one day when I get my own house I would like to furnish an entire room with re-done roadside furniture, it should be fun) anything antique or retro (this goes from really old books to mod fashion) card making/bookmark marking/scrap booking avant-garde and minimalist interior designing and art including Swedish interior surrealist art As you can see most of my 'obsessions' are tied with art or creativity in one way or another. I guess I am a art freak ... |

my bff's back deck and back yard...it's so calming, it's almost spiritual...
finding my spiritual path...which is what my bff and i talk about on her back deck... :) trying to follow said spiritual path, living my life by a set of steps. yes some of the 12 steps, i no longer "belong" but still try to live by the steps daily the tv show "diners, drive-in's and dives"...(nope...nothing spiritual about that! LoL!!).. |
