Right now it's Winky sugar-free assorted flavor gelatin parfait cups and Dannon Light+Fit Greek style cherry yogurt cups.

go to snack

I rarely snack but my buddy gave me this new "poppable" made by Lays. Sea salt and vinegar. OMG, I bought my own package today.

Apple chips satisfy the urge for a chip and for dessert at the same time.

Happyfemme 05-14-2021 07:07 PM

I am looking forward to some local tomatoes soon. I like to have tomato with basil and salt.

This sounds good. I've been thinking about making a good Caprese salad soon. Maybe not a 'go to' snack but a delish and healthy one!

Gluten free Oreos

GeorgiaMa'am 06-02-2021 07:59 PM

Olives and cake (not together). They're the only things that seem to taste right while I'm taking medications that affect my taste buds.

Kätzchen 10-30-2021 07:56 PM

Molasses cookies or Ginger Snap cookies. :balloon:

Gayandgray 10-30-2021 10:02 PM

Cut up sharp cheese and ritz crackers

FireSignFemme 10-31-2021 01:43 AM

Hot buttered popcorn, stove top rather than microwave kind. Also Moon Drops. I don't know what kind of grapes these are. They're long and purple and sort of look like very, very tiny little eggplants. So good.

Stone-Butch 10-31-2021 08:09 AM

OMG To Die For........

Gemme 10-31-2021 10:44 AM

I'm cycling between a few snacks now.

1. Cabot Pepper Jack cracker cut cheese slices with one of the following: Extra Big Cheddar Cheez-Its, Italian 4 Cheese Cheez-Its or Town House Parmesan and Basil Pita crackers.

2. Honey Crisp apples with either probiotic prunes or reduced fat peanut butter.

3. Zespri SunGold kiwi. They are sweeter than other yellow kiwi and have less fuzz.

4. Parfait with 1% fat Greek yogurt, fresh fruit (blueberries, black berries, raspberries and strawberries either all or a mix of some of them), toasted slivered almonds and sometimes a sprinkle of unsweetened coconut flakes too.

Orema 01-09-2022 04:59 AM

Thin slices of fresh carrots (carrot chips) tossed in sesame seed oil, salt, pepper. So good.

Last night I sliced my own and they were just as good.

Gemme 01-14-2022 09:58 PM

Right now...everything under the sun. I've gained all of my Omicron weight loss back and then some.

FireSignFemme 01-15-2022 12:09 AM

Watermelon chunks. Snacking tomatoes some red, some gold. Eggnog. All on mark down, but still fresh and amazingly good considering it's winter.

Soft*Silver 01-15-2022 04:33 PM

Home Made Delicacies

I have been making my own bread, and foccocias. Today I am trying out and making cake donuts. And for Christmas it was Christmas cookies.
When I want some thing lighter, I freeze yogurt and chip away at that. I also have learned to dehydrate fruit slices.

Gemme 01-20-2022 11:36 PM

Popcorn. Especially tiny heirloom popcorn made with avocado oil. Delish.

kittygrrl 01-21-2022 02:54 PM

Spinach Salad w a (mild) vinaigrette

Kätzchen 04-19-2022 11:23 AM

Chocolate covered Raisins and Coconut Macaroon's (dipped in chocolate).

Did I mention Caramels, too? Yesh, I do love Caramels. :stillheart:

bicentennialjenn 04-23-2022 06:11 PM

Apples are so good! I haven't tried dehydrating them myself but I often microwave them. If I add cinnamon and a cover while they're heating, they come out soft and tender, kind like a pseudo apple pie filling (but no added sugar). I've also been enjoying lots of fresh raspberries lately. My local Sam's Club sells the double pack and they're usually amazing and fresh. I can just eat those by the handful.

Orema 04-24-2022 07:11 AM

Cold slices of cantelope with salt and pepper. So good.

Soft*Silver 04-24-2022 01:04 PM

Frozen blueberries

My own iced coffee I make in the morning. I add a little squeeze of honey and heavy cream. Mmmmmm deliciousness right there in my tall Yeti!

I eat mine plain now but used to dust sugar on my cantaloupe.

I love a good cocktail appetizer. I can't find a bottled sauce that's got enough kick for me so I take a standard sauce and add horseradish sauce to it. Delish!

Have you tried Moon Drop grapes? They are delicious!

Lately, my go to has been a drink versus a snack. I mix Bolthouse Farms carrot juice with Green Goodness (usually a 60/40 mix) and it's sooo good. 100% fruit juice; none of that usual junk.

And popcorn. I love popcorn but not grocery store bought anymore...only the kinds of bagged popcorn that's found at Marshall's/Home Goods. THIS is my absolute fav right now.

nhplowboi 04-30-2022 08:10 AM

OK, I might be a "bubba". Pork rinds...low carbs, crunchy and tasty.

Don't get me started with popcorn! It's what I'm splurging on this week. Bought a big ol' box yesterday.

Me, too. I like pork rinds. Sometimes I add hot sauce but you gotta eat them immediately or they'll get soggy.

JDeere 04-30-2022 11:05 AM

I love beef jerky but I have not found one that I REALLY like in either a stick or cut up form, till yesterday!

https://dustysbeefjerky.com/product-category/dustys/

Found me one I absolutely LOVE!!!

if its the meat sticks, its the bacon, peppered and original. In the bag its peppered and teriyaki.

GeorgiaMa'am 11-23-2023 02:46 AM

Some kind of Jell-O salad:

- a small box of Jell-O gelatin (your favorite flavor)
- some kind of fruit, maybe 2 kinds (like canned crushed pineapple and frozen cherries)
- some kind of dairy (like cottage cheese, or sour cream, or plain yogurt)
- a shredded large carrot
- some kind of chopped nuts (optional)
- mini marshmallows (optional)
- an 8 oz. tub of reduced fat Cool Whip

Mix all together and chill. It will not set like gelatin. The Jell-O is mainly for flavor. Enjoy!

P.S. You can also experiment with adding protein powder.

Orema 11-24-2023 09:53 AM

Popcorn with rosemary herb butter. So good.

Just chop and add fresh rosemary to butter, heat and drizzle on popcorn.

It's good if the chopped rosemary can sit in the butter for a day or so.

Salt, if needed.

Sounds Delish!

I too love popcorn. I make it on the stove burner inside a big kettle with bacon jalapeno grease and salt it with Amish Butter Salt. Or.... I use my canna oil and when I make it that way, I get the dual benefit of healthy fiber and joints that feel better (almost instantly). Can't wait to try your idea with chopped rosemary. I've got access to fresh garden herbs that i keep on the kitchen apothecary window sill at my honey's house.
